37 - Caught out

  Chapter 37

  A week later

I opened Damiens front door and walked in. Things hadn't been the same since last week. I hadn't seen him since that day. It was only last night that he begged me to come and see him. I checked his living room and the kitchen ..but it was empty..

"Damien?" I called

No reply. Strange. I went up the stairs and checked the bathroom. The light was on but noone was in there. I went straight for his room and opened the door. I stopped in my tracks.. Damien was asleep. But what was his EX doing standing in front of the mirror HALF NAKED!? I rubbed my eyes. I couldn't believe what I was actually seeing.

"WHAT are you doing here?" I said

She turned around and looked confused. Damien woke up and jumped when he saw me. He swore under his breath. I looked at him ..then her, then back at him.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!" I shouted

"Baby, I can explain. It's NOT what it looks like at all" He said getting up and walking towards me..

"Noo Noo! Don't give me that rubbish Damien. DON'T YOU DARE! WHY THE HELL IS YOUE EX IN YOUR ROOM HALF NAKED?"

"CASSIE SHE NEEDED SOMEWHERE TO STAY!" He said

"SO SHE SLEPT IN YOUR BED NAKED?"

"No- ..Well yes but-"

"I CANNOT Believe you damien.."

"Cassie please-"

"Did you two have sex?" I said dreading the answer

"What? No of course not. I wouldn't do that to you!" He said touching me

"DON'T TOUCH ME!"

"Maybe.. I should go.." Hayley said walking towards the door..

"NO. Stay here. Do what you want. Im gone." I said walking out

It took me an hour to walk home instead of 20 minutes. I was crying my eyes out. People must have thought I was a mad person. But tbh, the only person I could blame was myself. If I'd listened to the boys, I wouldn't be in this position. I finally got into the estate. I sighed as I walked through. In the distance I could see a group of boys playing about near the wall. I sighed and wiped my face. I began to walk past them all. Some of them were sitting on the wall, others were playing football and the rest were on their bikes. It went quiet when I walked past. It was soo awkward.. I was SOO close to the end, but I suddenly felt someone barge into me. I nearly dropped but he grabbed me just in time..

"Oh my days I'm so sorry" He said..

I looked up.. It was Darnell.

"Cass..?" He said and smiled..

"Hey.." I croaked..

"..Whats ..wrong?" He asked

"Nothing" I said walking off

I powerwalked to the end of the road.

"Cass! WAIT!" He said running up to me

"I know somethings wrong.." He said

I tried to avoid showing him that I was upset. But I just couldn't. I started crying.

"Cass Wagwan man?" He said hugging me.

"Why's my life such a MESS?!" I sobbed

"Come.." He said

We carried on walking down the road in silence. Eventually we got to his house. He opened the door and let me in. I hadn't been in his house for ageees! He took my hand and led me upstairs into his bedroom. I sat on his bed.
