23 - Surprise Question

Chapter 23 - A week later

I looked in the mirror and brushed my hair down. Today was the last day of work experience and i'm not gonna lie ..i was quite UPSET! My front door opened and Darnell walked through. He was on the phone and he looked quite stressed.

"What as in tonight?"

"......."

"Ahh FFS! What time?"

"......"

"Iteee kool, make sure dem man are on time and blacked out yeah?"

"......."

"Itee later"

He got off the phone and sighed. "You ready?" He said

"Yeaah lets go"

We walked to the busstop and waited a couple of minutes for the bus.

"Wassup dee?"

"Nothing man, just tired.." He said

"Instead of you to be going straight home and catching some sleep you wanna be going out doing nonsense!" I said

"Yeaah but business calls b ..business calls"

Me and Lizze were in the shop setting up and tidying up the shop a little bit before it opened up. I could see Jason outside talking to some girl. Well it looked like they were arguing.

"Elizabeth, Cassie" The boss called

We followed him into his little office.

"I just want to thank you two for all the work that you've over the past 2 weeks and i'm very greatful for everything you've done. Good luck on your last day and if you guys are ever looking for a job ..you know where i am!"

"Thanks Sir" I said

"And i'll email your head of year and fill her in"

"Okay"

"Good day guys"

We walked back to the front of the shop.

"OMDS! Lizzie! I might have to come back here for a job uno!" I said

"I think you should! I know how close you and Jason are getting" She said winking ..

"What do you mean?"

"Nothing" She said smiling

"Liz, he's a friend. I don't like him in anyway.."

"Oh whatever! That's what you said about Damien ..and now look" She teased

"No i didn't say that Liz"

"Okay well you and damien both like each other now so .."

"But i never said i liked damien though.."

"Loooool ..you're telling me that you don't like my cousin ..so all this going out, late night phone calls, meeting his MUM is nothing yeah?" She said

"Well .."

"Exactly!"

"Okay FINE! Maybe i do like him .." I muttered..

"Awwwww! Bless! I can imagine you two being together you know" She said

"..Yeah but Darnell won't. He'll go mad. I still don't understand why they hate each other" I sighed

"Darnell can't control your life forever uno!"

"I know but the last thing i want to do is upset him..look at everything he's done for me"

"Hmm" She nodded just as jason walked in looking pissed
