Hey guys. Here's part 2 of the Paranormal Series. Part 3 will be out as soon as possible. Hope you enjoy!
Peter's POV
It has been a month since the first time I saw my Aunt and Uncle in the living room/kitchen area of the house and things have never really quietened down at all.
Sometimes, things would happen to me that I would not be able to understand or explain. Some are creepy like my keys moving towards me when I had lost them that one time. Some are scary like when it all started or when that lamp threw itself at my head. Some are genuinely kind like that one time the blankets moved themselves around me when I was sleeping and nobody else was in the tower.
Either way, I don't really like what is happening. I've started to become depressed around the tower but as soon as I leave I feel 100 times better. I will have dreams but they don't feel like dreams. They feel more like memories.
One of them, I'm in a car crash. The car had just flipped and multiple snaps could be heard. There was a ringing in my ears and a metallic taste in my mouth. I tried to scream out, but couldn't. I was stuck. I was going to die like this.
I will never see Peter again. I don't want to break the promise that I made him.The other dream that I had was that I was looking for... myself. I finally found me and I tried to call out to me, tried to tell Peter that I was sorry and that we can talk about it while we walk home. But I never did. I...I was shot. I started to bleed out and fell to the ground. My chest was in an excruciating amount of pain but I didn't care about that at that moment. All I care about was that I might never get to see Peter again, tell him how sorry I was and that I love him.
But then I heard a familiar voice. "Let me through," it said. Peter. Oh, how I wanted to tell him everything. That I was proud of him for becoming something great after the spider bite, how I wished we never had that fight. How much I love him. I decided to put all of that into one sentence."With great power, comes great responsibility."
With every dream I had, I awoke in a ball of sweat and tears. As much as I loved them and wanted to have them back for good, I also wished for this nightmare to end.
But it was far from over.
Tony's POV
Peter hadn't been himself lately. He was tired, stressed, and depressed. He had explained to me one night that some of the things that were happening to him were... 'evil' in a way and others... they weren't? I don't really get this whole thing but anyway. I thing the 'good' things are May and the 'bad' are his uncle. Maybe? I don't know. I never really understood what was happening.
That was, until it was too late. Until Peter was possessed.
I called up a paranormal investigation team to have a look at him. I didn't know what was happening, that was for sure, but I knew that he was possessed. I just had a father-feeling about it. He wasn't himself. He wasn't blinking, hardly breathing and... well, acting odd. The rest of the team didn't understand though.
"So, you thing that he's possessed?"
"Not thing, birdbrain, know."
"What, so you just have a paranormal feeling about it all."
"Well, yeah. I mean, I guess? I just have a feeling that something is wrong with Peter and I want him to be okay.""So, what are you doing about it Tony?" Steve was clearly worried about the kid.
"Well, there is a local team of paranormal researchers that are willing to come and have a look." I explained."Who ya gonna call?"
"Ghost Busters!""Hey, Birdbrains! This is serious!"
Clint and Sam started giggling like two schoolboys and ran off, only to come back screaming after they turned the corner.
"S-so c-c-c-cold!"I drew my gaze towards Peter. His innocence was taken from his eyes and he just looked... distant? Absent? I had no idea what word was right for this circumstance but I did know one thing; I was gonna get my kid back to me. No matter what.
{Time Skip}
I heard the doorbell ring and Friday announce through the speakers of the Tower that the paranormal guys were here. Thank goodness, I thought, I didn't think I would be able to wait much longer. I left the lounge room, making sure that Natasha was still there to look after Peter just in case something happened, and answered the door.
"Hello. Are you Tony Stark? I got a call that there was something out of the ordinary happening?"
"Yes, I'm Tony. Come on in.""Thank you," the first one replied while walking in, followed by a group with their arms full of equipment that I, surprisingly, didn't understand. "My name is Clara, nice to meet you. This here behind me is my team; Simon, Harrison, and Jemma. We will be filming our work that we do here today for research purposes. So, while Jemma gets set up..."
"Ummm... I'm going to stop you right there. That won't be necessary." There stare at me with confusion written on there faces and I sigh. "My A.I. can do that for you. Fri?"
"Yes, sir. Filming of Floors 89 and 90 now.""Right... so, care to tell us what has been happening and for how long then," the one that I believe is Simon asks and I tell him everything that has been happening to Peter from what he had told me. By the end of it, we had arrived at floor 89, the living room that Pete was in, and they already had some equipment out. They began talking to each other very fast while hooking up stuff here, there and everywhere.
"As much as we all love this kind of stuff and have to deal with it everyday with Stark over here, we don't understand what you are doing or saying and would like to. So, care to explain a little bit?" If there was one thing that Clint hated (apart from Peter sleepwalking) it was not understanding things.
"Right, sorry. We'll explain as we go along," Harrison reassured us. "Now, let's get started with this."
They set up their EMF readers and devices, along with voice recording equipment that detects sounds at high frequencies and thermo-cameras so that they could see what was happening around them that may not be visible to the human eye.
"Alright, let's get started," Jemma said while moving towards Peter. "Peter, can you here me? My name is Jemma. If this is you who I am talking to right now, give me some sort of sign that you can here me. Just a nod or a shake of the head will do."
He didn't move at all.
