Monday morning my mother and I got up to go talk to the principal to talk about my consequences. Of course, my mother fought for me like she said she would, and the principal made a promise that she'd make sure the teachers know what's going on and to enforce their anti-bullying policy which is something I didn't know they had in the first place.

So, I continued my school day on as I usually do, and it went by smoothly. There weren't any snide comments from anyone which was a relief to me. There were people who spoke to me that I've never spoken to before. My day had gone so well it was almost weird for me. I hope that things would stay on an incline. Had me smacking such a popular girl and hanging with Landon now made me... popular? Just the thought of it made me anxious.

I had to work after school like usual so as soon as school was over, I was out the door with my book bag and work clothes. I missed work on Saturday because of homecoming so missing a Saturday of work made me feel off schedule. When I pulled up at the restaurant, I was anxious to get in and get it over with.

It is a small buzz going on with the restaurant being semi full. I quickly walk to the back room to change my clothes so that I can clock in. When I push the door open, I see Benny sitting on the bench holding his phone. My heart drops seeing him it seems like I haven't seen him in so long although its's only been a few days.

"H—Hey Benny."

"Oh, hi Alex." He puts his phone down and looks at me like he's surprised to see me.

"How are you?"

"I'm doing okay. How are you?"

"I'm great." I say smiling at him. It was good to say that I was feeling great.

"I missed you." He admits.

"Really?" My palms get a clammy feeling hearing him admit this.

"Yeah... you want to hang out a little bit after work tonight?"

"On a school night?"

"Oh yeah you do have a curfew, don't you?" He laughs.

"Yes, I do, and I enjoy staying out of trouble with my parents. My father is still feeling some type of way about the pep rally."

"Oh, okay well maybe one of these weekends after work we can hang."

"We'll see."

"Okay well I have to finish getting ready, so I'll see you out there." He nods his head up at me and I smile at his smoothness.
