Feeling the bed sink in by my feet I quickly pop my head up to see my mom holding a coffee mug in her hand smiling at me.
"Hi sweetie, I didn't know you came home I thought you were spending the weekend at Madison's." I rub my eyes to try and get rid of the blur.
"I would have but early this morning I left because my phone shattered." I pick my phone up from off the nightstand and show her.
"Oh my, that is shattered, what happened?"
"Crazy girl bumped into me and I dropped it." I sigh, not telling the entire truth.
"Crazy? Is she stalking you or something?"
"No Ma." I chuckle. "Crazy as in temperamental." I admit. She raises her brows at me.
"Now I know that I don't like to flaunt boisterous and asinine behavior when it comes to you being out in this rollercoaster of a world Lexie but be clear, if someone is trying to push you, please don't be afraid to put they ass in their place." She points a warning finger my way. "I'm not playing." I try not to show that I'm surprised by her newfound tone and choice of words as I huff at her.
"I know, I know. I'm trying to be patient, but I almost lost it I swear. If Maddie wasn't there to smack someone for me it could've been a lot worse."
"You keep her around, you hear me? And let me know if that girl keeps trying to 'show her temper' at you again."
"Mm." I mumble.
"I'll call Apple Care and set an appointment up."
"Thanks mom."
"No problem."
"Oh, and your father and I saw that your mirror is fixed that's great. When'd you get it fixed?"
"Last night."
"Oh, great who did it?"
"The guy who ruined it."
"Well, that's good news, he did great. Can you handle not getting into another accident?" She says cautiously.
"Yes, I can handle it." I mock her tone. She smiles and nudges me.
"How was it?"
"It was... an experience." I say reluctantly. I didn't want to tell her too much then she'd really freak out on me.
"Well, it's a start. Did you meet a boy there?" She clasps her hands.
"No, I did not meet a boy at the party mom."
"Lexie is there something you need to tell me?"
"Mom..." I start.
"Well, I'm just trying to ask. I'm not saying that it's a problem if you're curious, but I just want to know."
