Lately, everyone has been staring at me because of the rumors of me being crazy and I've been on edge since. Hopefully everyone would stop talking about it quickly so that I can go back to being out the way. Looking through my windshield I see a group of boys outside acting like a park of hyenas. My generation was so immature I often felt as though I wasn't supposed to be in it. I flinch, hearing a brisk knock at my window.

"What the hell Madison? You can't possibly think it's okay to do that 7:30 in the morning?" I jump out of my Jeep and slam my door behind me.

"Jeez Alex, isn't it a bit early to be on your gothic shit? What were you doing, judging your peers through your tinted windows again?" She mocks.

"The one best friend that I have, and she had to be a pain in the ass too?" She playfully bumps shoulders with me, locking her arm within mine dragging me along into the building.

"Oh, you love me." This is true, we'd been best friends since the 8th grade. Although we did meet in the 7th grade, we didn't become close until later. Her being an extrovert and my being an introvert didn't work for us at first, but overtime we found similarities that created a bond that was unbreakable.

Madison is brutally honest, something that was a blessing within a curse for our friendship. When I first cut my hair, she stared at it, I could tell she tried her best not to turn her face up for my sake, but she still told me that she didn't like it. We hadn't spoken for the day. But that night I had gotten over it and we talked as though she never said anything. That was our friendship. She could be a lot like my mother sometimes, maybe that's why we eventually gravitated toward each other.

"Alex, this year has to be different, I want to have fun! senior year is supposed to be the best year of high school. I want us to go to high school parties and all of the school events so that we can have the full experience." I stare at her, refraining from rolling my eyes. The thought of going out annoys me, I don't even want to think about it.

"Damn maybe we should find you a boyfriend at one of the places you're trying to go so you can leave me alone." Her smile drops as she narrows her eyes at me. She was obviously offended by my comment; she didn't bother with a snide comeback.

"Relax it was a joke." She shook her head, slowly pushing the heavy bathroom door open.

"You're such a quiet person around everyone, I wish more people could see how much of a funny bitch you are."

"Hardy-har-har."

"You made a joke about me finding a boyfriend this year, maybe you're the one who needs a boyfriend."

"Who the hell goes looking for a boyfriend their last year of high school? Then you have to worry about picking a college to go to together or worse have to end things depressingly and everyone knows you find love once you go to college." I pull my hood back and ruffle my hair some more.
