Chapter 31: Who was that?

Berthold P.O.V

I heard heavy footsteps approaching and I knew that a titan was running somewhere throughout the forest. Y/n and I have just made it to our destination but the others weren't here yet.

I know they wouldn't transform into a titan just to meet with us on time so I shook off the feelings but all of a sudden the stomping stopped.

"B-Berthold..."

"Hmm," I hummed to show her I was listening.

"B-Behind you..."

In confusion I turned my head around and fell back finding a hideous hairy face in front of me.

"F*ck, Zeke".

"You know why I'm here right?"

I didn't reply, I know he's after Y/n and I hoped he had forgotten but he hasn't.

"Hmm," Y/n whimpered and we both turned around and looked at her in shock.

My shock was that she had caught Zeke's attention and his shock was that he had finally found Y/n.

"Ara Ara, seems that we finally get to meet miss Y/n," Zeke spoke with an even nastier grin appearing.

He stretched his long brown hairy arms towards Y/n and I jumped in between trying to stop him from grabbing her.

Before I even got the chance to cut my hand everything went black.

Y/n P.O.V

"BERTHOLD!" I screamed out trying to wake him up as he was knocked out by the monkey figure.

"Haha, now that we've gotten over that obstacle, why don't you come with me?"

I shivered under the intense stare of the empty eyes and the cold air around me. I watched the long thin arms stretch towards me, I muffled a scream.

I closed my eyes shut as soon as I felt the prickly hair of the arms touch my face. I slowly felt my body being left up and I felt my tears fall, was I going to get eaten?

Shing

I opened my eyes to that sharp sound and I saw the arm I was in cut off, I was falling...Who was that?
