Chapter XXXIII (Bonus Chapter)

"Everyone ready to go? We must keep moving." I said as I was waiting by the door of the safe room. "As ready as we'll ever be, right Francis?" Louis said. "Yeah, whatever manager." Francis said rolling his eyes. I opened the door and walked out. "This way team." I said pointing to my left.

They followed me and we walked through the back of a restaurant. "I don't know which way to go, through here I think." I said as we walked through the restaurant. "Look there's Mercy hospital!" Louis said pointing towards the hospital.

"Let's get on that lift!" I said. We got on the lift and I started it up. Didn't think that was going to call a horde too, but it did. We fought off the horde as we walked along this roof to a window. I broke the window and we went down this hole. Once we went down the hole we walked through a hallway, checking the rooms again, and then down some stairs. We walked through the storage room to the back door and went through it.

Then we turned right and continued that way, then we turned left. Then I heard a high pitched voice. We saw some stairs and went down them. Once we got down them we saw a tall and long necked woman. The woman spat on the ground where we were standing and I saw that it was acid. "Back back!" I said as we moved away from the acid. I killed the woman and we waited for the acid to clear up.

Once it cleared up we went down the manhole and I heard some growling sounds. "You guys hear that?" I asked everyone. "Yeah, what the hell is that?" Francis asked. "It sounds like a dog and a hog put together." Zoey said. "That's some nightmare fuel." Louis said.

"This whole situation is nightmare fuel." I said. "True." Francis said. We tried to stick together but it was hard due to the water and the muk. I heard something pounce on Francis, it had a very loud scream. He was the furthest away from us. I gunned down the thing on him. I then helped him up and we walked to a room.

"Hold still, I can help ya." I said as I went to use my first aid kit on him. Once I healed him we walked through a tunnel and out the other end of it. Once we were out of the tunnel I looked to my left and saw a light. I could barely make out that there was a ladder there. "Let's go up that ladder." Louis said. I nodded and we followed him up the ladder.

We cleared out the zombies once we got up out of the sewers and I pointed to the front door of the hospital. "Let's go!" I said. "I hate sewers. Never want to go in them." Francis said. "Don't we all tough guy." Louis said. We got into the saferoom and I closed the door.

We're safe... For now...
