Chapter XXXXI (BC)

I guess that man let someone in before and that person bit him. I looked at the wall upstairs to the right of the exit door. It said repeatedly 'better safe than sorry'. "Geez this man really was crazy." Zoey said when she noticed the writing. I nodded in agreement. "Man Riverside is a bust! Let's head to the river." Louis said.

"Sounds like a plan to me." I said. I opened the door and looked back at my team. "Everyone ready?" "As ready as we'll ever be." Francis said. I stepped outside and went down the ladder that was on the wooden balcony.

We walked through a part of the wall that was broken down and walked our way through the store. We walked down the road and turned right. We walked to a second bus then looked around. "We should go through that building." Zoey said. We walked through the door of the building and out the other side. We heard a witch crying.

When we got to the side that the witch was on we saw her crying by a dumpster. "Let's try to sneak by her." Zoey said. I nodded and we carefully snuck passed her. We then went down the road passed a truck. "Let's climb up that van, it says the safe room is pass that way." Francis said. "No it does not, but I do agree that we should climb up that van." I said.

We climbed up the van and into the building. We walked through the office and through a pair of double doors. A spitter spat on the floor in front up us so we had to avoid that. We killed her then moved on. We climbed down the ladder then down to a table. when we got to the table, I looked at the forklift a little bit in front of us. "We should use that to get across. It'll probably start a horde, but that's okay right? We'll fight them off!" I said with confidence.

"If you saw so." Francis said. I turned on the forklift and I wasn't expecting as big of as a horde as we got. We ran across the railing to the other end of the road and around a bus. Then we ran into an alleyway and ran through part of the alley. We climbed up some stairs, then we went into a room. We walked over a plank and into another room.

Then we ran across two roofs and jumped down into the other side of the fence. We ran to the safe room and I slammed the door behind us. We all breathed deeply as we could finally rest for a moment. "My old bones feel like shit now from all that." I said. "Bill running and walking are good for you." "If you don't stop being positive I'm going to find a way to make you really sad." Francie said annoyed towards Louis.

We're safe... For now.
