Delilah's Adventures

Chapter XXVI

When the chopper landed, they disarmed us for safety reasons. One of the guards looked at me. "Delilah?!" They said. I recognized the voice. It was my friend from when I was little. "Sarah?!" I said looking up to seeing her there.

"We need to get you guys out of here!" Sarah said grabbing our weapons and bringing us with her. "Why?" Ellis asked. "Because this is Delilah's old home. They will kill her if they notice." Sarah said throwing a cloth over me to cover me.

We walked to where there was a helicopter that wasn't being used and she got us all in the back. I heard another voice. "Ellis?!" A pair of men said. "Dave and Keith?!" Ellis said seeing two men in the pilot seats. "Keith and Dave, help us get out of here." Sarah said.

Sarah wasn't my age, she was actually in her 40s now. She was a nice Hispanic girl. She got in the back with us and we all flew off from the base. "We'll do anything to help our friends!" Keith said as we flew off. We landed somewhere off the coast of Florida on an island. When we landed it wasnt smooth. All of us survived though.

"Guys there's survivors!" I heard a voice say. Before I blacked out I saw a group of men come over to us. One had a similar skin tone to me. "Aiden...?" I said as my vision went black. When I woke up I saw that I was in a bed.

My team was all around me as well. Nick, Ellis, Zoey, Keith and Sarah on my right with Nick being right next to me. And on my left there was Louis, Francis, Coach, Rochelle and Dave. Louis was the one right next to me on my left side. I sat up and rubbed my head. "Oh you're awake. Good morning." I heard a female voice say. I looked to where the voice came from and saw a young woman, about her mid 20s smiling at me. She had a makeshift nurse's outfit on.

"Who are you and where are we?" I asked her. "You're in our clinic obviously, but you're on the island of New Stars." (I know great name. Give me a break.) She said smiling gently. "Oh okay.. Um do you know what happened to our weapons?" "We were only able to save one which was this katana. Most of them blew up due to the fire from your crash." The lady said.

"Oh.." "Rest up. I'll be bringing dinner in soon. Our leader does want to see you. He'll be down in here when dinner's ready." She said. I nodded. "Okay... Tell Aiden that I don't bring good news about his family." I said to her. She tilted her head in confusion, but didn't seem to question it.

I laid down and felt both Nick and Louis wrap their arms around me. I felt safe there and I fell back to sleep peacefully. 'Hopefully things get better from here on out. I don't want to lose the friends I have made. And I don't want to lose my two lovers or my brother. They are all I have left of a family.'
