"One time, the army bombed my buddy Keith. He went camping and didn't bother to read the signs, and I guess they were just testing bombs that day. All sorts of stuff too, not just regular bombs. Like biological nerve gas bombs, shrapnel bombs, these bombs that break up in the air into like a hundred smaller bombs--" "Ellis, is now the best time?" Nick asked interrupting Ellis. Ellis looked at him mad but sighed.

"Why can't I just tell stories?" Ellis asked. "Because not everyone wants to hear them--" "Nick I will shove the hilt of my katana up your ass if you keep being mean." "Yes ma'am.." Nick said a bit frightened of me. I don't mean to be so aggressive, but him being mean to Ellis just because Ellis is trying to lighten up the mood annoys me.

"Those sound like soldiers! Someone talk to them." Coach said as we walked out of the safe room. We walked over to the radio and turned it on. "We're the people on the other end of the bridge!" Ellis said to the pilot. "That's coming from the bridge! Bridge, are you immune?" The pilot asked.

"We are not infected." Coach said. "Negative bridge, have you encountered the infected?" "Encountered? Boy, I am covered in zombie blood and puke and eyeballs and twenty other parts I don't even recognize. We are immune as SHIT." Coach said. "Rescue Seven, are you equipped for carriers?" Pilot 1 said. "Affirmative, Papa Gator." Pilot 2 replied. "Bridge, we have pulled out of that sector. Your only remaining pickup is available on the other end of the bridge. Our last chopper is leaving in ten minutes. You need to lower the span and get across the bridge. God be with you." Pilot one said.

"Alright we should be there!" I said as we hung up on the radio and started lowering the bridge. Once the bridge was lowered, we ran across it like it was depending on us to do so. No one fell off and no one died which was good. We got to the chopper and all of us got in. "We made it!" Ellis said happily.

There survivors have escaped.

After the helicopter flew off we all sighed softly. "Are you okay Delilah? You look really nervous..." Nick asked looking at me. I shook my head. "I'm nervous that this may be the same military base I ran away from." I said looking at them. They all hugged me. "No one is going to hurt you. We'll all make it out alive." Nick said which calmed my nerves a bit.
