A Needed Talk

I clean books up with Xingqiu.

"He's the person you were talking about right?" He says, straight face.

I look at book in my hand, face feels little red. What he said was true.

I nod.

"Bennett, I had met him some time ago, when I was heading back to the hotel." Xingqiu gave a small laugh. "Its funny, I didn't think I knew who he was talking about that day but, guess I was wrong."

Confused, I ask. "Talking about? What do you mean?"

He waves hand, to pass what he said, and grabs my books. "It's nothing to important Razor, but you should go meet him now. I'll take care of the rest of the books."

"Okay, thank you Xingqiu."

I put poem in pocket and walk out.

I see Bennett sitting on stairs.

'Hug him'

It's been very long time, but Bennett doesn't like me right? can't do things like that.

I sit down, next to him.

"Ah, hi Razor." Bennett stutters. "I just wanted to apologize for how I acted before, like at the tavern, and how I ran even before that... I'm sorry. I know you might not forgive me for the things I did, but i was exactly in the best place at the time, I know it doesn't excuse how I treated you, but-"

Bennett talks too much. I like that, but not right now. I stop Bennett from talking. " I forgive you."

"R-really?"

Bennett looks with wide eyes, his green eyes shine, happy.

"Yes. I do." I nod.

"I really want you to still be my friend Razor." Bennett looks to ground, smiles, and continues. "I'm sure I probably made you worry a lot, and me pushing you away didn't make you feel any better about it. I don't hate you Razor, if that's what you think. I mean, I would think that, from how I treated you. You're a great person, and you've changed a lot from last time too." Smile goes smalI, a little sad. "I haven't changed at all, I'm still just Unlucky Bennett. I'm sorry."

I lean close to him. "No! You are very great, you make me happy, and I like you Bennett, I am glad you okay, and don't hate me."

Bennett's face goes red, I feel mine go red too. Very close, I back away.

"I think you are still very nice person, and I want to stay friends with you." I say quietly, face still feeling red.

I put hand in pockets, I feel paper.

'Poem'

"I'm glad I got to talk to you again Razor, how about we head to Good Hunter tomorrow? It would be nice to meet up again." Bennett says, getting up to leave.

"Yeah."

"That's great! I'll see you tomorrow then." He waves, walking off.

"Wait!" I grab his hand, holding poem in other.

"Don't go, I have-"

Bennett looks back, his balance is off, Bennett starts to fall.

"Wait Razor!"
