'You okay?'
I take clays hands as he helps me out the car.
'Yeah.'

'Can we talk about your work?'
I look at Clay who is sitting at the other side of the table.
'What about work?'

I play with the lettuce on my plate.
'What if you quit? Find a new job closer by after the pregnancy.'
I look at him. Quit?

I mean yeah, I've kept my old job which is more then an hour drive every time.
It's far away and I was planning on finding a job closer by.
I know it isn't an option as long as I'm pregnant, cause it's likely that I won't get the job then.

'Quit? I won't be having a job for a couple of months.'
Clay shrugs 'we're no going to pretend that I don't earn enough for the three of us.'
I look at him as he chews on his food.

I know we don't need the money, but-
'I'm not saying that you shouldn't work. It's just easier.
You can get a new job after the pregnancy and then go from there.'

I look down, stabbing a piece of cheese onto my fork.
'It's an option, but I'll have to think about it.'
Clay nods 'of course.'

After having been outside, sitting in our backyard in the grass and watching the sunset, it's time to go to bed.

My eyes are on the darkening sky, the last bit of purple turning into dark blue.

'Clay!' I shriek as he picks me up and holds me as he walks inside.
He chuckles as he steps inside and calls for patches to come inside too.
She comes over as he calls out her name, and he closes the door after.

Upstairs, he lays me down on bed and kisses me.
I chuckle as he blows on my skin, creating fart noises.
'Stop.' I laugh as I push him back.

'Lets go out tomorrow.'
I look up into his green eyes as his face is covered in a warm glow by the light on the nightstand.
I reach my hand up to his face, tracing his jaw. 'Where to?' I ask.

'Beach?'
I smile and nod at him.
'We can eat something there and take a walk?'
I chuckle and kiss his cheek.
'That sounds perfect.'

He winks, making me laugh.
He moves off of me and hands me the shirt I sleep in.
'Quit your job, I want to be around you more, while it's still just the two of us.'
I watch as he takes his shirt off. I smile down at my hands.

'I'll talk about it next week.'
He turns his face to me, goofy smile on his face.
'Thank you.'
