featuring: pretty setters (aka kenma, akaashi, kageyama, sugawara, atsumu, oikawa, and semi)

kenma suggests that you could spend the night if you feel too tired to go home after getting through the day and playing games with him. it's out of the ordinary, as you would occasionally stay for dinner with his family and then play or watch him play for a little bit before leaving. you somewhat shocked by his offer because he was never the one to set up a situation in which you would be physically close. however, he can get needy when you become habituated to his lack of affection so he has his moments where he wants to be held or doted on by you. alternatively, spooning you with his head pressed between your shoulders while you're falling asleep makes a world of a difference. he enjoys sharing a bed with you more than he thought and this realization makes him want to love you even more.

akaashi has several thoughts after you agree to stay over with him at the last minute. he hasn't prepared for it at all but he was the one who insisted. he didn't want you to feel pressured to stay but at the same time, he didn't want you to leave so late at night? his mind is running a thousand miles a minute as he considers what you would wear to bed, if he has a spare toothbrush, what side of the bed you like to sleep on. once you get into bed together, it's adorable and almost amusing how stiff and awkward he is laying next to you. you can tell that he's thinking too much about it so you slowly inch closer to him. you grab his arm and swing it around you so you can lay your head on your shoulder. he looks over and smiles before leaning in to share a sweet goodnight kiss and wrapping his arms around you to pull you closer.

kageyama does not like sharing a bed or his personal space with anyone. your relationship developed very slowly and you wanted him to be comfortable and grow into his role as a boyfriend. that being said, it was months before you even considered sleeping over somewhere with him. the first time was actually the night that you had an argument. you offered to help him study and he refused your help, claiming that you wouldn't understand. he later showed up with food and a solemn expression, apologizing and asking if you could help him. after a sweet reconciliation, the hours rolled by and he could barely keep his head up, leaning onto your shoulder. you decided to call it a night but he wouldn't budge, "can you just stay here for a minute? you bossy.." he's already drifting off so you urge him to get into your bed where he cuddles close enough to you to make your heart burst.

sugawara is excited to share his bed with you when you agree to spend the night. he's cute for being so excited but you tell him he's weird instead. this comment sparks a pillow fight as he knows that you're just as weird. you have those glow-in-the-dark star stickers on the ceiling of your bedroom that he knows you like to count before you go to sleep. he doesn't have those but he has his weird imagination which he uses to tell you a bedtime story. the story was about a person to who everyone was attracted but there was no clear explanation as to why. sure, they're beautiful and have great qualities about them but it was almost a strange phenomenon. the person fell in love with a boy and the boy was lucky enough to find out that they smelled and tasted like sugar. then he licks your cheek. weirdo.

atsumu feels really warm and happy inside that you asked him if he wanted to sleep over so of course, he couldn't say no. the only thing is he isn't a fan of your many sleeping positions. he's seen how you sleep and he's hoping he can acclimate you to a more comfortable way of sleeping. he will spoon you to death because it's his favorite way to hold you. it's also perfect while you're in bed so then you can bring one knee up to your chest or curl into that little ball that you like when you sleep. he prefers that your head stays near his so he can nuzzle into your neck and smell the nice scent of your shampoo. it excites him even more that he gets to wake up with you too, even if you're a bear when you're woken up. he still thinks you're cute and loves that he gets to share that moment with you.

oikawa prefers to have plans set for you to stay over. he knows you like to be prepared so he helps you pack an overnight bag and will make sure you have everything. his attention to detail is definitely a little quality about him that you love. he'll pick out a pair of sweatpants for you to wear that are the same color as a pair that he owns so you can be matching or he'll pack one of your face masks so you can do them together later, cute little things like that. when you're at his house, he shows you where you can put all your stuff as he cleaned his room up for the occasion. he can be a little bossy and particular about where you put things or how you put them back but it's nothing personal against you. he's happy to host you and even though he comes off as calm, cool, and collected, he's actually screaming inside that you're here with him.

semi doesn't mind sharing a bed unless his sleep is disturbed abruptly. thankfully, he's not sleeping next to tendo. you're a little nervous to sleep in the same bed as him because your restless sleeping habits might make him regret the decision. however, he makes sure you're completely comfortable and are equipped to get a goodnight's sleep with him. however, much to no avail, neither one of you got very much sleep that night but not because of the other... well, maybe. could be just the first time jitters but at least you're both affected. you end up staying up and talking about random things while there's soft music playing in the background. it's rather intimate with a few kisses and longing looks exchanged but it's one of those moments where worries simply do not exist. you fall asleep on top of him in the warm embrace created by both your physical closeness and chemistry.
