haikyuu boys + their favorite holiday activity to do with their s/o

🌟 wrapping gifts; while other people may find wrapping presents to be a chore, they absolutely love it. they think it's really relaxing and especially fun to do in your company. they're pretty good at it too and you don't understand how they get their gifts wrapped so neatly or cut the exact amount of paper needed. it's like they don't even have to try yet it's basically their hidden talent. you can't even make it into a competition because you know they'd wipe the floor with your poorly wrapped boxes that barely look like there's a box inside with all the wrapping paper you used. the hardest part to them is wrapping gifts whilst keeping yours a secret: kita, yaku, atsumu

🌟 decorating the house/tree; like the present wrapper extraordinaires above, they love decorating around your shared space, including the tree. they don't mind if you help but if you're prone to breaking ornaments, they'd try to keep those away from you. they will, however, leave putting the star on top for you because they know how much you like to do that. when all the lights and decorations are put rightly in their place, it really starts to feel like the holiday season. add some warm sweaters, blankets and couch cuddles with some kisses for an especially jolly time: yamaguchi, wakatoshi, iwaizumi

🌟 baking holiday treats; they either love the process or just stick around for the taste test, there's no in between. one of them prefers to do their own work while you watch as if its their own baking show like the competitions show you like to watch together. others like to have you help or let you do all the prep and baking, calling you their 'little baker.' if there's any dough or batter left over, they will happily lick the spoon and will steal chocolate chips or any fillings you have planned. when the baked goods are ready for the final stage of tasting, they allow you to take the first bite before graciously eating the rest: osamu, tendo, nishinoya

🌟 looking at lights and decorations around town; to them, there's nothing better than taking you downtown and walking around to look at all the lights or eat at restaurants that are in the holiday spirit, surrounded by decorations. holding your hand, linking arms or hugging you into their side keeps them warm, purposefully not wearing a ton of appropriate outerwear to steal your warmth. new years eve is probably their favorite holiday for this occasion when they get to be your first kiss of the new year underneath the brilliant fireworks shooting through the night sky: kuroo, akaashi, daichi, bokuto

🌟 drinking hot chocolate/warm drinks; they're a bit like the above group in that they like walking around town with you but especially stopping at a cafe for some hot tea or hot chocolate. it's pretty simple but they love just sitting with you and enjoying the warmth, both from the drink and sitting so close to you. even if there's other people around, it feels like it's just the two of you in your own little bubble of joy. they're a little more affectionate than usual (if that were even possible), keeping an arm around you, occasionally kissing your cheek a few times, sneakily trailing over to your lips: oikawa, semi, sugawara
