kuroo

is very calm with accidents like this, but acts with a little more haste when it comes to you

"nice going, lev," kenma sighs

kuroo runs over to you, yelling back at the team to keep practicing

you were kinda hunched over, trying to simultaneously catch your breath and breathe through the pain, your hand pressed to your chest

"are you okay, babe? where does it hurt?" you felt his fingers gently grasp your chin, pulling your face up to look at him

frowns as you wince at his touch, the tears forming in your eyes

"aw, it's okay to cry if you have to, kitten"

has you open your mouth and lightly jokes that he has to check to make sure you still have all your teeth

the tears start falling, your lip quivering as he cradles your head and sees the blood staining your tongue and teeth

"it's okay, it's just a little blood," he tries to keep you calm, pulling your head into his chest

yells over to someone to get some water for you

carries you outside instead of letting you walk because "i can't have my kitten in any more pain"

hands you the water bottle and helps you rinse out your mouth of all the blood and wipe some of your tears while he holds you in his lap

even after all the blood seems to be gone, he continues to press the tip of the bottle to your lips, making sure you're hydrated

you tell him that you feel better and he should go back to practice

he just tightens his arms around you and tells you they can figure it out without him

"if you feel better, why don't you...prove it and...give me a kiss?"

you tell him you'll kiss him after he finishes his practice

threatens to end practice early until you kiss him

you finally comply and he steals a few more before letting you go

he punishes lev by making him do 10 perfect blocks, kenma is over on the side snickering

"and i'm not taking my eyes off you...but then again, i never do"

kageyama

doesn't immediately go over to check on you but instead has even more of a reason to beat the shit out of hinata for spiking the ball right at you

but he only gets in a few threats before suga and daichi yell over to him

"kageyama, don't worry about him! i think they could be really hurt.."

he can't help but have an angry scowl on his face when he sees you holding your cheek, a few stray tears falling down

he comforts you the best way he can with a few pats on the head

he lets you press your face into his shoulder as he brushes a soothing hand down your hair

he takes you to the nurse where he's relieved that you don't have a serious head injury

kisses your injured cheek "i swear i'm going to hurt that little twerp so bad for hitting you"

you get back to the gym and as soon as hinata sees you he just "y/n! are YOU ALRIGHTTTT??"

kageyama stands in front of you, preventing him from coming any closer

you speak up from behind him "yes, i'm fine!"

"NO, ITS NOT FINE (WHAT THE FUCK)" -kageyama

"you're gonna let me spike one right at you for that"

"but...you're a setter"

"suga! can you set a few for me?"

you don't even try to stop him because you know he'll do it anyway

thank god he's not the captain

he can be a hothead but he's ur hot(head) boyfriend

akaashi

it's rare that he's mad at bokuto...but there was that one time he accidentally spiked a ball right at you

it hit you so hard in the back you lost your balance and face planted on the gym floor

"bokuto, watch it!"

he's immediately at your side, checking to make sure you're not hurt

he helps you up, steadying you with a hand on your lower back

bokuto feels bad and gets dramatic

"guys, don't pass me the ball anymore! especially you akaashi, i know you're upset because i hurt them!"

"i'm okay, bokuto, i know it was just an accident! i won't stand so close to the net. tell him it's okay, keiji" you murmur and nudge at your boyfriend

he sighs before giving in "it wasn't your fault, bokuto. just be more careful"

akaashi kisses your temple before resuming practice, with his fellow captain continuing to express gratitude over his forgiveness

later when you two hang out, he dotes on you like no other

"do you need anything? does your back still hurt? i can give you a massage if you want—"

he's too sweet "kaashi, i'm okay, i swear"

he holds you close, rubbing a hand up and down your back

"i'm sorry if i'm being too much, i just want to make sure you're okay"

you tell him he's never too much because you love him a lot

"...i'll take that massage though if you're still offering"

he's happy to comply bc you make him so happy
