- it's true, he does like long hair and may prefer it over shorter hair

- but he's never minded when you change something about your appearance because he thinks you look beautiful all the time

- you're always going back and forth with your hair so when the inevitable statement of regret happens, he takes the opportunity to challenge you

- at the end of the day, he knows your indecisive self will never settle on one style and as long as you're happy, he's happy

"babe, are you almost ready?" he calls from outside the bathroom.

"yeah! i just need a few more minutes," you respond through the door.

you hear another small knock before the door creaks open. you look over to see his head popped through the door.

"may i come in?"

"mm-hmm."

"thanks, sweetie. what's going on here?" he asked, watching you try to fix your hair in the mirror.

"i'm trying to figure out what to do with my hair," you answer. "i think i regret cutting it."

he chuckles as he stands behind you, reaching for your hairbrush. "do you mind if i try to help? 'try' being the key word."

"sure."

he begins to brush your hair, trying hard not to pull too hard. "why did you cut it then if you don't like it short?"

"it's not that i don't like it short, it's just that it makes me miss having long hair," you respond, looking at him through the mirror. "also long hair is a lot of work and makes my head feel heavy."

he smiles at your answer. "you're so indecisive."

"just about my hair," you shrug.

"yes, baby, just about your hair," he agrees in a facetious fashion. "what if you just put the front part up, like this?"

he gathers the front section of your hair and pulls it up atop of your head to show you what he means.

"i think that's the best option," you sigh.

"here, hand me your hair tie. i'll try to tie it for you."

you hand him your scrunchie and he gets to work on securing your hair in place, concentrating on making sure your hair is smoothed down before he ties the scrunchie around it. once he tries to tie it, pieces of your hair begin falling out, the small ponytail falling flat onto your head. he begins to laugh as he completely lets go of your hair, letting it fall in your face.

"i'm sorry, babe," he says in the middle of laughing. "i don't think i can do this."

"here, i got it," you reply, pulling your hair back up and tying it into place in a matter of a minute.

you pull the excess of hair to make sure it's tight before pulling out some little pieces of hair to frame your face. he watches in awe at how quickly you were able to do that and make it look good.
