Can you write some headcannons for Nishiniya, Sugawara, and Daichi with an s/o that sleeps with their eyes open and how they would react. I do this all the time and it creeps out everyone and I kinda find it funny

featuring: nishinoya, sugawara, and daichi

nishinoya

- there's levels to what he would think upon seeing sleep with your eyes open

- first he would think you were awake and would try to get your attention by saying your name and then poking and shaking your shoulders

- then he would think you were dead because you weren't responding and your eyes were open but then he sees that you're still breathing

- and then he would for sure think that it was a joke like you were just pretending to sleep with your eyes open or trying to make him think that you were dead

- moments later, you're blinking and rubbing your eyes as you wake up

- meanwhile, he still thinks you were playing with him, "wow, babe. you really fooled me! i totally thought you were dead for a second<3"

- you're looking confused as to what he's talking about but then you feel the uncomfortable dry sensation in your eyes

- his face is like :O when you explain to him that you sleep with your eyes open sometimes

- "wait...that's a real thing? how is that even possible??"

-you're amused with his reaction, telling him that it's surely possible as he had seen moments ago

- you provide further elaboration that it's the same feeling of unconsciousness that one feels when sleeping with their eyes closed except your eyes stay open

- then he starts asking a million questions, as he would with anything else

- "doesn't that get uncomfortable though? do you still blink even though you're asleep? can you see the future or something?"

- you're like, 'uh...no' and then ask him to hand you your eye drops, explaining that it only gets uncomfortable after you wake up and your eyes hurt and get dry from staying open

- and then he's sympathetic and comforting over the fact that it hurts your eyes, "my poor sweet wonderful beautiful s/o! i could get you one of those eye mask things to cover your eyes while you sleep"

- although you know he's trying to help, you explain that it's not the lack of darkness that keeps your eyes open but that it just happens and you don't know why exactly

- however, it could help reduce the amount of strain on your eyes if there's any light in the room

- you ask him if it bothers him or if he thinks it's weird that you sleep with your eyes open

- and he's anything but judgmental about it, "of course not! i actually think it's super cool, babe! sleeping with your eyes closed is sooooo basic. i would never trade you for a closed-eye sleeper ever, mmmmwah."

- now he's just plotting how to scare asahi with this newfound discovery

- he'd think you were awake and would start talking to you

- and when you don't respond, he'd think that you were ignoring him, not realizing that you were actually asleep

- so he'd try to get your attention or ask if you're upset with him but with still no response he'd be like, "fine. i'll just stop bothering you."
