haikyuu men (oikawa, tobio, wakatoshi) helps their s/o by drying their hair for them after they came out of the shower and they accidently falls asleep on their chest due to the warmth and comfort

oikawa

- he's someone who works very hard and is determined to succeed, especially with volleyball

- he'll often stay late after practice to do some individual work or will watch his opponents games to observe their plays

- so most nights, he doesn't return home until later

- and no matter how hard you try, you almost always fall asleep waiting for him

- one time he came home while you were just finished having a shower

- he's surprised to see that you're actually still awake

- "hey, sweetness. you're up late."

- you tell him about how you procrastinated on work all day long and the karma from that was finally setting in

 - he chuckles as he hugs you and rubs your back, "aww, poor baby. don't you want your hair to be a little drier before bed?"

- you're too tired and lazy to do it at the moment so he offers to help you

- leads you back into the bathroom by the hand and pulls out the hair dryer and your brush from the sink cabinet

- "i'll be gentle, babe. you just relax. i've actually always wanted to do this."

- he stands behind you as he blow dries your hair, using the brush to try to dry the sections from the roots to the ends

- he shifts himself to get around your head, being mindful with the brush hitting your ears

- you love how it feels when he plays with your hair

- and him brushing and drying your hair had the same effect with tingles running down your spine from your scalp

- when he starts brushing the front of your hair back from your forehead, that's when you start leaning back into him more

- you don't want to fall into him though so eventually you turn around and wrap your arms around his waist, hugging yourself into his chest

- to which he thinks that you are nothing less of adorable

- "aww, sleepy baby. let me just get a little more and then we're done."

- once he's finished, he does the best he can to unplug everything with you still attached to him

- he practically drags you out of the bathroom because you're so sleepy

- he gets the two of you into bed where you snuggle further into him, making him smile and kiss your forehead

kageyama

- he doesn't really know too much about self-care

- he showers and takes care of basic hygiene, of course

- but when he starts dating you, he wants to be better at it because he knows it's important to you

- however, he is not a fan of you trying to go to bed with your hair still dripping wet

- "what do you think you're doing? why is your hair still wet?"

- you tell him that you're going to bed and it's wet because you just got out of the shower like it's not obvious

- "well, i know that! but here--" he grabs a hand towel from the bathroom. "come here."

- you move closer to him on the bed and he instructs you to turn around as he puts the towel on top of your head but you just lean closer to him

- his cheeks start to grow red as you kiss his cheek and thank him before leaning against his chest

- "hey, what're you-- alright. whatever. just stay still, you dummy."

- he actually loves when you rest against him like that so he cannot protest against it

- he continues wrapping the towel gently around your head, gathering all your hair in it behind your shoulders

- he squeezes any excess water into the towel and then scrunches it into your hair to towel dry it some more

- keeps your hair wrapped up into the towel as he suggests something else

- "do you really want to sleep with wet hair like this? c'mon, we need to dry it with heat. hey, you dumb--"

- he gets a better look at you and realizes that you had already dozed off on his chest, your breathing softer and more even

- he sighs out in annoyance, "figures a dumbass like you would just fall asleep."

- he pulls the blanket to cover you up some more so your hair doesn't make you cold

- even though you're the idiot who insisted on sleeping with wet hair

- but again, he can't argue because he's perfectly comfy with you in his arms

wakatoshi

- he will know if you're not taking care of yourself and will not hesitate to point it out

- like when you're overworked and exhausted but are too stubborn to rest

- he'll try to be a little bit softer since it's you

- "running yourself into the ground isn't good for you. i think it's time for a shower and some food, babe."

- and because he's truthful and honest, you can't argue with him

- you nod and begin to pull out some clothes to change into but he stops you

- "go ahead and start the shower. i'll bring you some clothes and a towel, okay?"

- you follow his instructions and sure enough, you hear him come into the bathroom and leave some comfier clothes and a towel on top of the sink counter

- after you're finished and dressed, he knocks on the bathroom door with more plans of pampering you

- "let's dry your hair so you're not cold, sweetheart."

- first, he towel dries it to get any excess water out and then has you sit on the sink counter and face the mirror so he can blow dry it

- he's not totally sure what he's doing but he figures it can't be that hard

- your hair became very poofy when he tried to brush it out as it got drier

- you felt so relaxed that you could barely keep your head up

- he suggests for you to stand in front of him so that he doesn't pull your head too hard with the brush

- he actually manages to get it mostly dry, despite your lethargic state

- he makes sure he passes through all of your hair gently with the brush one final time to get any leftover knots out

- by that point, you're practically passed out but thankfully, he's a large man so he has no problem carrying you back to bed

- he noticed that you were trying to lean against him several times while he was drying your hair so he decides to get into bed with you, even though it's the middle of the day

- you immediately pull yourself on top of him and he pulls the blankets up far enough so you're comfy

- he is very happy that you let him help you to get the rest that you need
