actions that say i love you

featuring: nekoma, karasuno, and aoba johsai (aka kuroo, kenma, yaku, daichi, sugawara, nishinoya, kageyama, yamaguchi, oikawa, and iwaizumi)

kuroo -> bringing a pillow for long car rides: you often like to take little road trips for a small weekend getaway together. he usually ends up driving but depending on the travel time, you'll take turns driving. he always offers to take the first driving shift because he knows that if you're leaving really early, you're probably going to fall asleep as much as you deny that you will. sure enough within the first half-hour of driving, you're struggling to keep your head up and eyes open. he chuckles, reaching behind him to pull out the pillow he stashed in the back, telling you to take a little nap and that he'll wake you up later.

kenma -> playing a game that they suggested: he enjoys playing most of his games by himself and usually plays with others remotely with a discord chat or something like that. you've shown interest in a few of the games he plays and he's been happy to show you how to play from time to time. he finds it cute when you're wearing his headset and are concentrated on the task of the game. he feels very loved when you want to play some of his games and knowing that you would be willing to play new games that he thinks you would like. actually, he wastes no time looking for said games so he can play with you.

yaku -> wiping something off their face that they didn't realize was there: while he is a very fun and motivated person, he can be neurotic about certain stuff such as cleanliness. you're not a messy person but he would happily do some chores for you if you couldn't get around to it. there's also other times when you can't see like when you're eating or after you've cried and your makeup is a little messed up or if there's an eyelash on your face; he'll help you clean all of that or make sure you make your wish as you blow the small hair off his finger.

daichi -> carrying them piggyback style because they rolled their ankle: for the record, he would give you a piggyback ride at any time but especially when you need help. if you ever roll your ankle or can't walk for any reason, he always offers to carry you or let you hop on his back or at least stabilize you by wrapping your arm around his shoulders. he never minds the physical toll he could experience while carrying you because your safety and health is his main priority and this way, he can keep an eye on you by confining you to the couch or bed to rest

sugawara -> buying them something that they've wanted forever: he enjoys nothing more than giving gifts and surprising you so he'll take any chance he can get to get you something that you really want. you'll talk about how you've been saving up for this specific thing and he'll discretely ask some questions to get more info about it. when he finally presents it to you, you're grateful but of course, you're talking about how he didn't have to do that. he explains that you deserve everything you want because you work so hard and ask for nothing in return. he also gets a lot of kisses and love for it.

nishinoya -> ordering their favorite fast food when they don't feel like cooking: he loves to eat but knows nearly zero about cooking so he's grateful to have you around to make tasty food for the both of you. however, he knows that there is a way for him to contribute when he comes home and sees you passed out in bed, sleeping soundly. when you wake up, you smell something delicious and walk out of the room to see that he hasn't cooked but ordered food from your favorite place. you thank him with many kisses and hugs while he takes pride in the fact that he was able to remember everything that you like.

kageyama -> laying across their lap as they read: he would be the one laying across your lap as you read your book quietly. he doesn't like to disturb you but sometimes he feels he needs some physical contact and doesn't mind if he gets it in rather unconventional ways. he doesn't always ask if he can join you as he really just needs some love but you're happy to accommodate him. he'll lay there quietly for a few minutes before asking what you're reading and if it's of any interest to him, he'll ask if you can read him a sentence or a chapter or two.

yamaguchi -> guiding them away from a situation that makes them feel uncomfortable: he's a pretty perceptive person so he can tell when you're feeling uncomfortable in a specific situation. you're also pretty open about your prior experiences with other people so he would be on the lookout for anyone with whom you don't want to interact. he may seem like he's on the timid side but when it comes to protecting those he loves, he can be stern and intimidating when he needs to be. if you're ever in a situation and want to leave, he will gladly take you somewhere else where you feel safer.

oikawa -> listening as they rant about something that bothered them: this boy likes to gossip so he's always down to hear any tea that you may have from work or school. he's the type of person to text, 'i have some juicy stuff to tell you when i get home.' you're usually the more reserved one in the relationship but he encourages you to tell him the details because it'll make you feel better. of course, he's right and you always thank him for listening once you're done. even though he can be a petty gossip who says too much, you're grateful that he's there to listen and hype you up if you need it.

iwaizumi -> bringing a jacket for them: after the first time you've gone out without a jacket, claiming that you won't get cold only to complain about being cold later, he's never looked back. he always brings a jacket out with him or sometimes will let you borrow one of his for the night so he can avoid hearing you complain about being cold and you don't have to hear him get irritated about your complaining. this way, everyone wins but he swears that you do it just so you can wear his clothes but that is something that he'll never complain about.
