Layla's POV
"Have you packed everything with you?" Jasper asked us but his words were especially towards me. "Yes, I have Jasper," I said trying not to roll my eyes at him but he was making that hard.
"Good, now best of luck to you both. Don't disappoint me." He said like we were his kids who were going to give their finals or something. I glanced at Mattheo and he shook his head. "Yeah whatever we'll be on our way then," Mattheo said as he made his way towards the van which was waiting for us.
I turned to meet Suzie who had tears in her eyes, "Hey, I'm not going on a war why are you crying?" I said softly as I wiped her tears. "It isn't any less than a war Layla. You'll be working under The Three Devils, who knows they get in a bad mood and do something to you-"
I cut her off as I pulled her into a hug chuckling lightly at her words, "Don't worry about me Suzie I'll manage some way. You just take care of yourself." I told her. I used to wonder how come she's managing in this cruel business with such a soft personality but seeing that she's been here before me, she does her work right.
"I will, you also take care, and please, don't lose your temper." She told me as she pulled away from me. I gave one last nod to Jasper as I picked up my leather bag and made my way to the van with Mattheo waiting in it for me.
------------------
The van halted outside a large gate. The driver showing his ID got through the gate and after at least 2 minutes stopped the van. He told us that we have arrived so Mattheo and I made our way out of the van. I did a small thank you to the driver and he gave me a smile in return.
I turned and saw a huge mansion in front of us. It was so elegant that I couldn't help but gape at it. "Woah," Mattheo mumbled as he was just as mesmerized by the sight as much as I was.
There was a guard who took us to the mansion. As we entered in, I couldn't help but stare at it in awe as it was like I'm in a castle. Even my own house couldn't compete with what I was looking at.
There was a sculpture of two women by the staircase with candles lit. It looked so magnificent that I couldn't keep my eyes off it. Whoever designed this place did their job well.
We saw a few other people waiting by the huge entrance of the mansion. All of their eyes turned to Mattheo and me as they stared at us.
They all had straight faces on their faces and I spot a girl with blue eyes and dirty blonde hair who stared at me with a disgusted look, "Looks like we have another girl here," A tattoed boy who was beside her smirked and the girl chewed her gum.
She scanned me up and down before she remarked, "Looks like a whore to me." She mocked and I couldn't help but smirk, "You should talk for yourself."
The girl was caught off guard as she glared at me, "What did you just say?" She asked me with her high-pitched voice which was already giving me a migraine.
