Layla's POV
We were in the training room after Sinn forcefully got me into his car.
I was annoyed would be an understatement. And what annoyed me the most was that he had this poker face throughout.
I glared at him as he stood in front of me with a cigarette in between his fingers. "You think you could bunk my training? So why don't you show me what you got?" He lighted his cigarette as he took a blow from it, filling the room with its content.
"How many times do I need to tell you that I wasn't bunking?" I exclaimed, he looked at me with a blank face. "Until you get better at defending yourself." He announced and I sighed closing my eyes.
"Look," I opened them back up. "I don't know why you think I'm bad at defending myself when you were the one who stopped me from striking my dagger at that blondie!" I blurted out and he took yet another smoke as he blew it in the air.
"My point exactly, you couldn't even defend yourself when I stopped you. What if we were on a mission and I was your enemy. You would be dead in 5 seconds." He deadpanned and I wanted to counter back but I didn't, cause he was kinda right.
"It's not my fault that you're just too strong! I mean you're one of The Three so how come I could defeat you now huh?" I told him and he stared at me.
"Those are some pretty good excuses you came up with but just so you know, we're forming this unit so they assist us in our missions and these missions will be full of danger. Now if you don't want to comply, I could simply cut you off the list." He stated and my eyes widened
"Wait, so now you're threatening me?" I asked him and he threw the leftover of his cigarette as he leaned on the wall. "Think of it as whatever you want," I swear I saw the slightest of a smirk on his lips as he uttered those words.
"You're smirking," I pointed my finger at him and he met my gaze looking a bit flustered. "No, I didn't." He replied and I couldn't help the smirk on my face this time as I saw his reaction. "Yes, you did." I placed my hands on my hips and looked at him.
"You talk too much." He mumbled before he came towards me and caught my arm as he twisted it around so that it was now behind me and my back hit his front. "Now try to get out of my hold." He ordered me and I scoffed.
"And how the fuck am I supposed to do that now?" I retorted and I noticed him sighing before an idea popped up in my head. "Oh right," I mumbled to myself as I tilted my head to his face. He was quite tall compared to me, approximately 6ft or something cause I was just 5'4.
I leaned my back towards his front as I moved my hips slightly teasing him. And I noticed his body tense against mine, as he let go of me and pulled away from me.
"What the fuck are you doing?" He looked at me, his eyes wide in astonishment from my recent actions. I couldn't help the laugh as I looked at him, "What? I was just doing as you told me to do." He raised his eyebrow questionably and I smirked.
"I got out of your hold, master," I called him master cause duh, he is. "I'll take my leave then." I went out of the room humming the melody of Touch You as he remained inside the training room shocked at my actions.
------------
"You did what?" Yuri asked me stunned as I told him the details of the event that took place a few hours ago.
"He told me to try to get out of his hold so I grind my ass against him and it did work." I shrugged and he blinked a couple of times before he looked over at Leo.
"What was his reaction?" Leo asked me this time and I smiled as I recalled the look on his face. "He was shocked to his core." I laughed and they both burst into a fit of laughter with me.
"Don't tell me, the great Sinn Phoenix was caught off guarded and that was shocked to his core?" Yuri let out in between laughter and I nodded at him. "I was a bit surprised myself cause I've only seen him with an ice-cold look on his face all the time, I mean the man doesn't even laugh let alone smile."
"But I saw him smiling that day," Leo started and Yuri and I looked at him. "That day when you were singing that song, I saw a smile on Sinn's face even though it was the smallest of a smile, for the first time since I met him." Leo finished.
"You did too didn't you? I was thinking to myself that I must be hallucinating or something cause Sinn would never smile." I started as I paused when I thought about Leo's last few words.
"Wait, what do you mean you saw him smile for the first time?" I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion as that is just impossible for me. How could someone never smile?
"It's true Layla. All these years we've been with him, never once have I seen him smile. He always had this stone-cold look on his face making him seem emotionless. I guess it's just cause of his upbringing in the Mafia." Leo told me and he stared in front of him as if thinking about something deeply, leaving me even more confused.
"But since you came here, I've seen a change in him." Leo turned to me and I looked at him as he continued.
"And I can surely see you melting that ice around his heart."
