Chapter five

I was woken up by the sounds in my room and when I managed opening my one eye and first thing i saw my mum and dad going through my closet and duffle bag.

"Mum, dad what are you doing in my room and what are you looking for and what time is it" ? Iask in a annoyed tone

"Aahhh christy nothing dad and I were just checking if you have packed everything up and you didn't left anything important things back and by the way it's 11 . So you need to get up , shower and change into new clothes.Stella will be here in an hour and then you both have to leave soon" .my mum said nonchalantly walking away

I got from my bed and headed towards bathroom just then my phone rang and it was Stella.

' Hey Stella ' I said in my morning voice

"Hey don't tell me you just woke up. Christy we have to leave within an hour and you're still sleeping". Stella sounded annoyed

"I am up now going to take a shower and I will be ready in five . We just have to travel so no biggie" . I said

"Okay . I just called you to say that mum and dad suprised me with a new car today ", she squealed

"Oh my gosh . That's great Stella" . I said excitedly

"I know right . Neways so we both will be going to NYU in my new car which means you don't have to get yours". Stella said excitedly

"But I thought I will take mine" . I said winning

"We don't need two cars christy . So this time we will ride my car. And you can get yours next time during holidays" . She said nonchalantly

"Okay fine" . I said giving up the coverstion

"Well see you after sometime . Bye ".Stella said

' Bye see you ' I said

After hanging up the phone I went and took a shower in my bathroom for the last time .I don't know when I will take a bath again here . I got out after sometime went to my closet took out my black skinny jeans, grey crop top and my toms along with it and started getting ready , I didn't wore much makeup just a lip balm and mascara , I kept all my toiletries in my handbag and looked around for the last time to check if I was forgetting something but nope everything was well packed. I went downstairs to get breakfast mum and dad were sitting at the dining table so I joined them.

"Hey mum what's for breakfast ", I asked

"Pancakes for you baby . As you won't be having my handmade pancakes anymore so I made it for you" . She said in a sad tone

"Aww mum don't worry I will visit you whenever I have holidays and my university is not that far from here just a two and a half drive . I can manage but yes I will surely miss your pancakes". I said hugging her

"Now common have your pancakes before it they get cold" , she said kissing my cheeks.

"Dad you won't miss me , you haven't said anything form past few minutes" , I pout

"Sure love mum and I will surely miss you . We only have one child and that too is going away from us . But I won't complain because I know you want to chase your dreams. So I will be happy for you and do visit whenever you get time , though you didn't let us come with you to the university but we will surely pay a visit when we get time" . He said giving me kiss on my forehead

"Aww I love you both so much" , I said hugging both of them

"We love you too baby" , they both said simultaneously

I had my pancakes just the I way I always have adding chocolate syrup to it an with a tea along , as I finsihed having breakfast the door bell rang and dad went to open it and there came Stella and her parents, like me Stella was their only child and they had high hopes from her . They came in and hugged my parents.

"Hello Mr and Mrs Wilson" , I said hugging them

"Hello christy so are you ready to leave" . Mrs Wilson asked

"Yeah . Just finished my breakfast I will just go and get my stuffs from my room". I said

"Stella can you help me get my stuffs down" , I asked

"Yeah sure" . She said

We both went to my room I lay on my bed and said "aahhh I am going to miss my room and this palce . NYU hostel you better be good".

"Don't worry we will get a good room , plus we don't have to share it with anyone because we have eachother" , said Stella pouting

"Yeah you're right . Common lets grab the bags and go down we are already late ", I said

We both picked my bags and headed downstairs . I took a last look at my room and the things I was leaving behind was some old clothes and 1975 band posters and lastly my comfy bed . We headed down , my dad took the bags from me and then we all headed towards Stella car.

"Aahhh I forgot to tell you both that Stella and I will be leaving in her car" , I said to my parents.

"But we thought you're taking your car . Neways as far as Stella drives safe I have no issues" , she said smiling

"Yeah she does . Don't worry she has passed her driving test before" .I said breaking the ice

My parents they just nodded okay . And they kept our luggage in the back of the car and then we both hugged our parents for the last time.

' I will miss you both' I said sobbing

"Hey will miss you too baby . Take care of yourself and don't cry you're a grown up now" , mum said smiling

"I will ", then I hugged my father and then Stella parents , I could see tears in Stella eyes too and then she hugged my parents and we both sat in the car and drove away leaving our parents and all the old memories behind .
