Chapter Thirty One

We both woke up by the alarm tone. I was changing my position when my hand hit the laptop. I meantally cursed and got up. My laptop battery was dead. I got up and kept it on charging and then left for the bathroom to take shower.

When I got back to room stella was awake and she was looking for stuffs and then left for bathroom.  I changed into fresh clothes and waited for stella to come back meanwhile I packed my bag and sat on the bed. Stella came back after sometime and qucikly changed and then we both left for college.

Rest of the day went quick by, both of us attended all the classes, during break she went and sat with the harry and all, while I sat with adam, harry and I didn't speak for the day neither I wanted too. Adam dropped me to hostel after the classes finished, he wanted to take me out for dinner but then I felt like staying back, I ordered pizza for dinner and continued watching the movie because I couldn’t watch it properly yesterday whereas stella was out with harry as usual.  That's how my day and night ended.

The week went by and it was friday, finally the day has come when I will leave for my home. Last class was over and I headed towards my locker to get my stuff and then walked out. But how am I suppose to go home, I thought of taking stella car but then I wanted to get my car back from home now I am all confused, Can adam drive me home back and he can stay for one day and then leave,  I can't ask Tom or Mack because they would be busy this weekend so adam was my last option, so I called him.

"Hey where are you"? I asked

"I just got free. Where are you"? He asked

"I am outside near stella car, can you meet me now, got some work", I said

"Sure will be out in a minute",  he said and the phone got disconnected.  Stella was not out yet so I stood there waiting for adam. He soon joined me, I just hope he's free this weekend though I remember him saying few days back that he hasn't planned anything.

"Hey, anything urgent",  he asked

"Yeah kind of, can you drive me to my home, I mean I can take stella car but then I thought of getting mine back from home but that won't be possible if I take stella car, so I mean if you have plans then it's fine"., I said nervously

"Hey babe no problem, I didn't have anything planned and it will be a pleasure having your company",  he said smiling and I just smiled back and thanked him. I saw stella and harry walking towards us and as usual harry had a scowl on his face.

"Hey christy what time you leaving and do you need my car", Stella asked

"No thanks, but adam is driving me home, actually I am planning to get my car but then if I take your car I won't be able to get mine, so I will be going with him" , I said and harry looked at me frowning, I can sense it that he was really mad, his hands were turned in a tight fist,  I guess he was trying to control his anger but then he has no right to react like this, I don't have to ask him and make friends.

"Ohh okay" I am sure your mum will be suprised to see you with a guy, stella said

"I know, Anyways I will leave, I think adam and I should leave on time otherwise we will reach late. You have fun and harry do take care of my friend", I said hugging her

"Yeah you don't have to worry about that, you have fun with your geek boyfriend",  he said with full rage, I didn't ahve the energy to fight him back and let him think whatever he wants too I don't care but then just adam spoke

"We are just good friends harry and friends they help each other",  he said frowning

"Whatever you guys should leave", he said and I quickly hugged stella for the last time and walked away.  I told adam to drop me to hostel first so that I can pack my stuffs and till that time he can go and freshen up. He agreed and dropped me and left. I wemt to my room and took my duffle bag out stuffed two pairs of jeans, shirt amd toiletries. I packed my laptop too and my note pad as I ahd some assignments to do. Plus I will ne skipping my monday classes, I already spoke to miss Ellie about coming back on Monday and she agreed to cover up for me.

I messaged adam to come and pick me. While I locked the room and walked out. I waited for him outside the hostel and played some music on my phone. Soon I saw his car entering the cmapus and he stopped infront of me. I smiled and he got off and took my bag and I hopped in and we were out from this place for three days.

"So did you tell your parents that I will be tagging along with you", he asked

"No, they don't even know about me visiting them, I am planning to suprise them", I said smiling

"Hah, I am sure they will be more than suprised seeing me", he said chuckling

"I think so", I said, the traffic was not that heavy at the moment, I hope we reach on time.

"You want to grab something to eat on the way, I mean we have to stop at a gas station", he asked

"Okay, we can buy something from there", I said.

We stopped at a gas station, he didn't let me pay for the gas but then I told him that I will buy the eatables and he agreed, I got inside the shop and got some juice and crisps. And then we both continued our journey. One more hour and then we will reach my place. My phone beeped with a message and it was from Tom.

Heard that you left and that too with adam (tom messaged)

Yeah I had too no other option, long story

If it wouldn't have been my birthday I would have gone along with you (tom messaged)

Maybe next time, anyways have a great birthday my friend :)

Hah thank you babe, though I will miss you and your crazy dance moves and I am pretty sure someone else will miss you too ;) (tom messaged)

Haha. I will miss you too and I don't know about anyone else missing me apart from stella

Stella and  someone too, you will know it soon, anyways bye babe

"Whatever bye". I locked my phone and turned my head to the window side.

"Who were you chatting with"? Adam asked

"Oh it was Tom, he wanted to see me", I said

Okay, he said, few more minutes and then we will be in queens. Adam and we both talked about college and future plans just to kill time and so that he won't fall asleep. I checked my time and it was eight, soon we were outside my house, I was so happy to finally see my not so big but lovely house and more importantly happy to see my parents.  Adam parked his car next to my dad car. I got out and saw that mum car was not parked outside weird,  she should be home maybe she's out with her friends or cousins. Adam got my duffel bag and we both walked towards the door, I was nervous becuase my mum and dad will see me with a boy for the first time and will they love my suprise, I looked at adam and I guess he was nervous too,  I rang the door bell and waited but nobody opened and then I rang again and the door opened my dad standing in front of me, he looked at us as if he's seen a ghost and I noticed that dad kind of looked weak, there were bags under his eyes, also he has grown beard and he was wearing shabby clothes and I just hoped everything was fine.
