Chapter Eighteen

 I sat there looking around the library students leaving now only few of them were left, I checked my time and it was already 6pm, I need to hurry up I looked back at Adam and he was closing his books. Well he was one year senior just like harry but a better a version of him in terms of attitude.

 “Finally I am done with my work” he said keeping his books in the bag

 “Thank god I thought you’re never going to finish” I said teasing; we got up from our seats and started looking at the shelves. After looking for a quite long time, he got some books and whereas I got only one. We sat back on our seats and looked for the topics.

 ‘Thank god’, I said finally after finding some good notes and literally folding my hands to thank god.

 ‘You should thank me because I found all these books for you’, he said playfully

 ‘Thank you too, now can I start writing it’ I said whining and he just smiled and raised his hands in defeat. He was looking into other books and finding notes for my second assignment whereas I was completing my first one. I looked at him in between my work and saw him writing down some important points for me so that I can copy at home because the library will get close at 8. I just smiled at him and continued doing my work and in between I thought Stella didn’t messaged me at all maybe she was busy but just then my phone started ringing and it was an unknown number, I picked up the phone.

 “Hello”, I said

 ‘Where are you’, said the unknown person

 ‘Who are you’, I said sounding confused

 ‘Would just tell me where the hell are you’, Stella told me you’re still not back at hostel and then I realized it was harry.

 You don’t have to worry about me I can take care of myself and pass on my message to Stella that I am fine, I said sternly hanging up my phone and saw Adam looking at me confused.

 Who was it? He asked

 The friend I told you about who ditched me today, I said looking back at my notes and my phone started buzzing again and it was him again but I rejected it. I saved his number with the name “Pain” so that I wouldn’t attend his call from next time.

 ‘And you don’t happen to have his number’, he said furrowing his eyebrows

 Well we are not exactly friends, he’s friends with my best friend and they kind of hangout together, you might know harry, I said

 Alright, I somehow thought it would be him, he said

 ‘Yeah’ I managed to say

 Forget about him, you should continue doing your work, we only have an hour left, he said while giving me a warm smile. I just gave him a small smile and started doing my work while he continued making notes for me. Soon he finished the notes and was waiting for me to wrap it up. After sometime even I finished doing it and I packed my stuffs and we both left the library and went out. Now I was wondering that how would I go back to hostel, I was going to call Stella when Adam spoke “Hey do you want me ride you back to hostel”,

 Its okay I will call my friend to come and pick me, I said

 My car is already parked across the road, you don’t have to call your friend all the way, I am a safe driver he said smiling

 Okay we will see to that, I said returning the smile. We both walked towards his car and he opened the car door for me and for once I remembered harry doing that for me this afternoon, Adam waited for me to get in the car and I just smiled and got in, he closed the door and walked towards his side got in and started the engine and drove off. We were soon outside my hostel and he got out from his car and walked towards my side and opened the door, it was really sweet of him I just smiled at him and got out.

 ‘Hey you don’t have to do all that’, I said sheepishly

 'No problem’ , he said and unlocked his car , we both walked towards my hostel gate and I saw some people looking at us and when we got near, I saw Stella, Jasmine, Chase and Harry looking at me confused whereas Harry was staring at me with full hatred and anger. I just looked at Adam and even he saw them so he looked at me, I gave him a small smile.

 Umm I guess I am going to leave now, he said awkwardly

 Okay, thank you for driving me back, will see you tomorrow at college, I said

 Sure, bye and night Christy, he said giving me a hug and I flinched for a moment but I hugged him back properly after all he saved me from all the work troubles today. I wished him goodnight back and we both parted ways. I walked towards Stella and all.

 ‘What were you doing with that jerk from my class' harry asked with a smirk on his face.

For the record he’s not a jerk like someone and he happened to help me with all the work troubles, I said sounding all irritated and saw Chase smiling

But you told me Tom was going to help you, Stella asked looking confused

Yeah he was supposed to but he got busy with some work and I had to go through lot of troubles today, I said looking at harry and he looked down at the ground.

As far as you have finished the work it doesn’t matter and yeah we were just going out to grab dinner you should tag along, Jasmine said

No you guys go ahead I am really tired had a long day and plus I have to make some notes, I said sounding all tired

But what about dinner you won’t have it, Stella asked

I am just going to order some pizza for night, I am going to go now, I said and took the keys from Stella and started walking away from them. I didn’t even bother saying bye to chase and harry, I was really tired to argue with him so instead I walked away, I got to my room and threw my bag on the bed and sat on my bed, I thought of ordering pizza now but then I thought first I should take a bath and then eat so I stripped from my clothes wrapped my towel took my toiletries and headed for bathroom. I took a hot shower and stayed under the shower for while feeling all relaxed, I washed my hair too as tomorrow I had college plus I am not a morning person at all, soon I got out from the shower and quickly walked towards my room because water was dripping from my hair so I needed one more towel to wrap it on my head, I got in my room water dripping on the floor and grabbed a towel from the closet and wrapped it on my head and looked at the floor it was all wet. I better clean it up before I trip.

I was still in my towel looking for some clean clothes when the room door opened and I looked towards the door when my eyes were about to pop out with the sight that i was seeing infront of me , my body froze for a moment and I couldn’t move a single muscle and harry was looking at me from head to toe, my face was all red due to embarrassment, my mind was not working at the moment.

Wha.. What are you doing here? An.. and you need to knock before you enter a girl’s dorm, I said stuttering trying to hide behind the closet door and saw a takeout in his hand

He walked in and stood near the bed and kept the takeout on the bed and spoke “I came here to give you this and wanted to apologize for today he said sounding bit nervous. I was full of rage when he said that he cannot just come here and apologize for all that he did today, so I started walking towards him not caring whether I am in towel or whatever.

You cannot just come and say sorry for what you did today, you humiliated me in front of all those people and accused me for something so stupid reason and top of that you didn’t even bother to keep that notes back forget about giving me a ride and then you expect me to forgive a jerk like you, I said with full rage and started pushing him when we both tripped and fell on the bed.
