Chapter Thirty Six

I woke up with the continues pounding on my door and I knew it was dad, "Come in dad I am still sleeping " I said

"Kid wake up, you went to bed early and it's already 12". He said

"Dad I will come down in a while didn't get a proper sleep lastnight", I yawned

"Why kid, is anything bothering you", he asked

"Nothing important, just couldn't sleep", I said

"Okay, take your time breakfast ready I have kept it in the fridge, I have to leave for my work", he said and I just nodded and he got up from the bed.

"By the way dad good that you have shaved now you look handsome", I said smiling

"Thank you kid", he said smiling and walked out from my roon, I laid in my bed for sometime with closed eyes recalling all the last night events. Every time I try to stop these thoughts but somehow it manages to come back. Oh I forgot to ask dad if adam is awake, I guess even he's still sleeping. I got my from my bed and then took a shower. I changed into fresh clothes and went down to kitchen.

I saw adam heating the food, he saw me and smiled. "Finally somebody is up" he said.

"Yeah, couldn't sleep lastnight", I said while pulling the chair out to sit.

"What time did you sleep", I asked

"I guess around 12, I heard you talking on the phone but then I didn't wanted to interrupt you", he said and passed me the juice

"Oh yeah I was talking to Tom", I said

"Alright", he said amd we both sat and ate our breakfast. We both talked about what to do the whole day while adam got a call from his parents I guess so he went outside to talk. I finished my breakfast and did the dishes and cleaned the kitchen.

I thought of calling my mum and ask her whether she is going to come or not, I was dying to meet her and talk to her about college and harry. So that I can take some advice from her meanwhile adam came back to the kitchen.

"Hey I have to leave today, my mum and dad are in town and they want to see me", he said

"Oh no problem you can leave whenever you want and sorry I couldn't show you around", I said

"No worries, I will come back with you some other time and then we can have a good weekend", he said smiling

"So are you going to leave now", I said

"Yeah in a while", he said and started eating his breakfast again.

"Okay", I said and we both stayed silent for a while. I was mentally thinking what should I do the whole day, maybe I should go and meet Stella mum and dad or go to dad shop. Adam finished his breakfast and I told him to go and get ready while I will do the dishes. He went to the guest room to change. I finsihed cleaning the dining table and sat in the living room waiting for adam. He came down after a while and I got up to say bye to him.

"I will leave then, I had fun with your dad by the way", he said smiling

"Yeah you sure did", I said and walked with him towards his car. We both hugged each other and he plants a kiss on my forehead, I just smiled and then got in his car and I waved at him for the last time and soon he was gone. I went back inside the house it was already two so I thought of going to stella mum place. I went to my room changed my clothes and then grabbed my car keys, wallet and went down. I locked the house and got in my car and drove away. I played some music and sang along, I thing I should take my car for service before taking it to college. I guess it needs some cleaning and servicing. Stella home was not that far from my place it was just 15 or 20 minutes drive. Soon I reached their place I parked my car infront of their house and got out.

I went and rang the door bell, I hope they are at home I rang the bell again and stella mum opened it and she looked at me as if she has seen a ghost.

"Christy I didn't know you were in town", she said

"Yeah I just came to see mum and dad, I was free today so thought of visting you both", I said smiling

"Oh, come inside she said and then hugged me, I hugged her back, I am really sorry for everything, I hope you're dealing with your family problems like a big girl", she said and I was confused what is she talking about, I gave her a questioning look.

"Sorry what problem, I don't know what are your talking about", I said and she looked at me with a sorry look

"You don't know anything that has happened between your mum and dad"? She asked

I panicked, "Like what, Mrs Wilson can you be more specific"

"Nothing christy, you should ask your parents I shouldn't say anything", she said

"Please Mrs Wilson I am like your daughter please tell me", I asked tears started brimming in my eyes.

"I shouldn't be saying it, your parents should be the one telling you, promise me that you will be strong if I tell you", she said with a teary eyes

"I promise now please tell me", I said

"Your mum and dad are not staying together anymore, they are getting divorced soon", she said and hugged me, my world froze for a moment, this can't be happening they were so happy before I left I never knew they were just pretending. They were the perfect couple for me. I was falling short of air in my lungs, I tried to take long breathes but was finding it difficult and everything around me looked blur and my head started spinning, next thing I knew everything got black.
