"Told you he'd be back," Drew's grandmother said."You okay now?" I stand up and walked to him.
"Yeah." He smiled. He grabbed my hand and hold it. He looks at the table then stares at me.
"Jade please tell me this is some sparkling grape juice that you're drinking." Drew says almost like his panicking.
"Nop." I laughed. Drew take my wine glass and smell it.
"Grandmother, how could you let her drink that?"
"She'll be fine, you all worried too much for your age," she responded.
"You shouldn't even be drinking alcohol too."
"I can promised you that it won't matter in a little in a while."
"Drew, you finally back." I hugged him tight. He looks down at me and smiled touching my chin.
"Yes let's have a seat," He said kissing my forehead quickly. I would go sit down it's my body feels like it's going down if I let go of him and I really don't want to embarrass myself right now.
"Right, you can start moving," I tell him.
"You can let go now Jade," Drew says.
"I can't, not yet."
"How will I walk over there then?"
"Carry me," I laugh.
"You're drunk aren't you?"
"No I just don't want to fall down now carry me Drew."
Drew shakes his head and picking me up making it look so easy. He puts me down.
"You two looks lovely, what made you two start dating?"
"His really good looking," I responded to Drew's grandmother. She laughed at what I said.
"I like her," Drew's grandmother said. I try reaching for the wine glass and Drew took it putting it on the other side of the table.
"That was mean," I tell him.
"It's the middle of day and you already tipsy, have some grapes," Drew puts a grape in my mouth.
"Grandmother, I should get going I have something to get done soon but don't worry I'm coming back later today." Drew said standing up. He looks at his phone checking the time again.
"Oh don't worry about that, you go on and enjoy the rest of your day." She said.
"No, I'm coming back here I promise." Drew said. Drew must of really connect with his grandmother a lot. I'm so happy they became this close together.
"Alright, you should be on your way," she answered.
"It was really lovely to meet you and I had a great time here with you actually." I tell her.
"Oh child come here, it was great seeing you also. You grew up to be such a fine lady."
I walked over to her and gave her a hug. She's really sweet, it's so sad knowing she doesn't have much time left on this world.
