The next day, it's around dinner time when I start helping my mom set up the table for dinner. Daniel is sitting watching a basketball game in the living room. My mom invited Drew and Linda over for dinner which I'm excited about to see Drew.

I heard a knock on the door which I already know who it is.

"I'll get it," I ran for the front door. I see him standing tall and handsome with his button down shirt, sleeves are rolled up. I ran to him putting my arms around him. I can feel him hugging me back. I get a kiss on the side of my head.

"It's always like this at the beginning," Linda says laughing. We break the hug, I really needed that hug from him.

"Hi," I finally say to them. I know that was unexpected.

"Hi Linda, and hi Drew. How's it been? Come on in."

"We're alright, thanks for inviting us over." Linda says.

"It's no problem at all."

"I can help you with that," Linda says walking to the kitchen to help my mom out.

"Drew, your team is losing tonight." Daniel says.

"What do you mean my team, it's yours too."

"Daniel it's dinner time, turn off that TV," my mom says.

"You guys haven't even set up the table," Daniel says stretching his whole body while still being glued to that TV.

"Yes we have," my mom says.

"Oh."

"Hi Linda, and hey Drew," Bert walks in saying.

The door suddenly opened with Chris at the front door and this girl. She's really pretty with her long brunette hair. It's definitely the girl his mentioned a couple of times. I can see her little bump showing up which she's holding a bouquet of flowers in front of.

Rosie was her name.

"Hi guys, I'd like you all to meet my girlfriend," Chris says.

"This is gotta be good." Daniel finally turn the tv off to look at what going.

"Hello everyone my name is Rosie."

Everyone stays silent. Looking over at my mom I already can tell she's not looking too happy.

"Well hello Rosie, it's nice to meet you. My name is Bert."

The only person who's able to speak first was Bert. I mean I know it's definitely going to take my mom a really long time to get use to her too. She wasn't happy that Chris got a girl pregnant before getting married because of course my mom high expectations of her kids.

"Nice meeting you Bert," she says.

I'm sure she's a very kind person.

"Chris, upstairs now," my mom says. She already looks angry. I don't see the point of it honestly. What's done is already done. She's already pregnant.

"I'll be right back," Chris tells her leaving to go meet my mom upstairs.

The silent continued.
