The next day I woke up in Drew's new bedroom at his grandmothers house. It's summer and it's bright and sunny outside. I'm not sure for how long I've been asleep because we spent the night doing you know what.
When I get up I see Drew with a little book on his hand which seems to be the journal he showed to me. His completely shirtless with only his shorts on reading his dad's journal. I walk my fingers over to side of his belly and poke him. He flinch a little and came close me.
"Morning to you too," He kissed my forehead. I pull him closer for a hug.
"So last night wasn't enough?" He asked me. I push him away, I just wanted a hug.
"What are you reading?" I asked him sitting up to look at the journal with him.
"The journal, I guess there's not much to it. It's just a bunch dates back in the 90s, except this page." Drew show me a page on the journal.
Friday August 15, 1997
The Pub. Main St."Whatever that means," Drew says.
"Hmm the pub?"
"What?" He asked me.
"It sounds like a restaurant name like a bar or something," I tell him.
Drew stops and think for a moment.
"Hey Drew?" We hear a soft knock on the door. I hurried and grabbed my dress to put on.
"Drew?" Linda knocks on the door again.
"Yes mom." Drew answered after I finished putting on my dress. I lay front side on the bed pretending to look at my phone.
"You two haven't came down, I was wondering, are you two hungry?"
"Starving," Drew says.
"Okay come downstairs then." She says.
"Mom, what's this?" Drew asked her showing her the journal.
"What are you reading?"
"I found my dad's old journal," he says.
"What? How?"
"It was just laying around here." Drew shrugs.
"Friday August 15, 1997, The Pub, main street, this sounds awfully familiar," she says.
Drew and I looked at each other then look at her.
"The Pub, The pub, The pub, The pub," she repeated herself over and over trying to remember.
"1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998 wait no 1997?" She says almost like she's asking us. Drew and I still aren't sure what's happening.
"Wait The Pub!" She scream the name.
"What?" Drew asked.
"I use to work there as a waitress back in college."
"Really?!" Drew and I say that at the same time.
"Yep, it was a sport bar, that's where Jefferson would come on Friday nights and Saturday nights when I work to annoy me."
"You met him there?" Drew ask her.
She laughed at first. "Yeah, that's when I was going to a community college and counting how much tips I make at night."
This actually sounds pretty cool.
"I thought my grandmother said you two were classmates." Drew says.
"Uh yeah about that I couldn't afford to attend university so uh. . . that was a lie Jefferson told her to let us date each other but she still hated me."
Aww Linda and Jefferson love story. To be honest it sounds like a lie Drew and I would tell my own mother too.
"Anyway you two made my morning, thanks." She says in her giggly happy voice. She then hand Drew back the journal.
"Do you want to keep it?" Drew ask her.
"Sure I'll keep it." She takes it again. It's so nice of him to let her keep it.
"Anyways come downstairs when you two are ready, the coffee is getting cold." She says.
"Okay," Drew said as she exit the bedroom. I can tell Linda still love Drew's dad till day. Even though he died she never went and got married again. I feel like if it was my mom she would of already get another husband.
"So Drew I have a question." I tell him he looks at me waiting for me to ask.
"Has your mom ever thought about like. . . You know getting out there again into to the dating pool?"
"No."
I waited for an explanation but he just says no.
"Uh no why?"
"She never wants too," Drew says.
She's chosen to be single forever. I feel terrible, she must of loved Drew's dad so much that she'd rather chose to be single for the rest of her life. Its kinda of like an all in or nothing for her. I do respect her choice though.
While Drew is getting up to put on his shirt, I suddenly have the urge for him to carry me. I stand up on the bed and jumped on his back. He hold me on to him so I don't keep gripping on his back. I'm currently butt naked underneath my dress and I felt his hand touching it. He suddenly smack it.
"Hey!" I tell him off even though I love it.
"Where to miss?"
"The bathroom, it is just a couple feet away."
"That will be 12 million," Drew says.
Holy shoot that's a lot to pay for piggyback ride.
"Kisses?" I asked him.
"I'll take it." I kissed the side of his cheeks as he bring me to the bathroom.

After we used the bathroom, we did go eat breakfast downstairs. We had such a good time last night, I still haven't tell Drew my answer if I plan on moving in with him. Yeah it's all nice like this, like waking up in the morning with him by my side just like this but I still feel like I'm not ready.
While sitting on the couch with Drew with my head on his shoulder as we watch some sport news play on tv that's when I heard my phone started ringing. I looked at the screen and see it's Lizzie calling me.
"What's up?" I answered the phone.
"So you know how I'm leaving for a vacation to Hawaii soon."
"Yes," I tell her. How could I forget it was just yesterday.
"Well apparently I'm leaving tonight at 6:00."
"What?!" I sit up from where I was sitting. How is she already leaving. Her mom booked plane tickets fast.
"And I won't be back till late August."
"What?! You staying in Hawaii that long?" I jumped again this time from where I was sitting. Drew looks confused and concerned.
"Not really, I'm heading to my dad's place afterwards."
"Hold on, I'm coming." I hang up. Drew looks at me wondering what's wrong.
"Lizzie is leaving tonight, I should go meet up with her." I tell him.
"I'll go with you."
"Thanks." I tell him as we make our way out.
