loki couldn't sleep, well they couldn't stay asleep every time they would even get a minute of sleep their sleeping mind was bombarded with nightmares of what they've done... what they were going to do.

loki sat up in the bed giving up on trying to sleep, they looked to the sleeping man beside them and frowned.

'oh, moby' they thought.

loki didn't understand it, how could mobius trust them, let alone care about them.. how could he.. how could he-

mobius knows everything they've done.. everything they're going to do- and mobius still cares about them... still, loves them.. how was that possible?

loki felt their chest tighten and their breathing quicken. they must have been loud enough to wake mobius because there he was right by lokis side in a matter of seconds.

"loki?" came the hushed tone full of sleep.

loki felt tears prick their eyes, they hated when this happened, hated crying, hated looking so utterly weak in front of another person... in front of mobius.

loki felt mobius' hands on their face wiping away their tears, as he spoke, "loki what's wrong?"

"why?" loki asked voice raspily

mobius frowned at them, "whaddya mean?"

"you know what i mean ! why do you give a shit about me? even though you know everything i have done- am i not a monster? a m-monster who deserves nothing but pain and death- just like i've caused?"

mobius frown deepens but he has a serious look in his eyes.

"loki..." he says in his calming voice, "you don't deserve any type of pain- and you most certainly don't deserve to die.. yes you've done bad things.. but you're not a monster loki.. even though you think you are you're not.. and there are so many reasons i 'give a shit' about you"

loki searched the mans face for any sign that mobius could be lying to them, but there wasn't any it was all genuine and everything mobius told them was true.. even though loki didn't believe it themselves mobius did... and right now that was okay.

loki brought mobius closer to themself and pulled him into a kiss, and mobius kissed back softly not wanting this to go anywhere, just wanting to comfort.

loki pulled away and looked at mobius and mobius stared back.

"i care about you so damn much loki" mobius said his tone genuine, "you.. make me happy.. happier than i was or thought i was.. and i love you loki so so much"

loki felt tears prick their eyes again, but this time they weren't from nightmares or sadness, they were from mobius and how much he actually cared about them.. like no one has before- and loki doesn't think he can handle that.

they brought mobius into a tight hug as they buried their face into mobius' shoulder letting out a soft sigh as loki whispered,

"i love you too moby... more than you know.."

mobius smiled to himself, hugging loki tighter, hardly ever getting to hear loki say those words and he got that he did. but when loki told him "i love you" it meant the entire universe to him..

mobius pulled away from the hug slightly and looked at loki with a small smile on his face.

"you want to try and sleep now?" mobius asked them

"yeah.. just hold me?"

mobius laughed quietly, "okay"

so they laid back down, mobius pulling loki to his chest and holding on to him tightly not wanting to let them go, he felt loki let out a soft sigh.

"moby?"

mobius let out a hum in confirmation.

"thank you" loki told him

"for what" mobius asked slightly confused.

"for... for giving a shit.."

mobius didn't say anything just kissed his shoulder before nuzzling his face into loki shoulder.

and that was all loki needed, so they closed their eyes and soon drifted off to sleep with no nightmares threatening to wake them again because they know their safe wrapped in mobius' arms.
