I heard noises, maybe they were footsteps, something far away that got closer and closer. I shifted uncomfortably in my place feeling a body cling to mine, still I didn't open my eyes. The wood above my head began to creak when someone moved the wooden box that kept us unnoticed. Then the compartment was opened, letting some light into the little place. Slowly I was opening my eyes, meeting the same brown boy from last time.

"Good thing you woke up," she said, giving me a smile.

Shit, when did I fall asleep?

I tried to move but arms around my waist stopped me. I turned my head to look at the brunette who was still sleeping like nothing. Images of everything that had happened quickly passed through my mind, all those men screaming, falling dead ... I shook my head trying to erase somehow what had happened.

"Well, you can go out right now..."

"Where is she?" The blonde entered saying, interrupting the boy.

We both looked at her, again she was still frowning as she scanned us, finally leaving her on Normani. She seemed to calm down when she saw the girl next to me safe and sound, for an instant het expression of annoyance had disappeared. Just for an instant.

"Quiet Dinah, you saw that she is fine. Nothing will happen to her again, you know it" the boy spoke calmly.

"I'll take her," she said, approaching us.

She didn't even look at me when I was pulling Normani out of the little hole. Once she had her in her arms she began to walk towards the door, leaving without saying a word to either of them.

"Where are you taking her?" I asked, still looking at the door.

"Dinah has her own cabin, she will probably let Normani rest in her bed," he replied with a shrug.

I wanted to ask if they had anything but luckily I restrained myself in time, I wouldn't know how they would take this around here so it was better to stay quiet. Although the curiosity would remain.

"I didn't show up last night. My name is Shawn, I am the boatswain on this ship." He held out his hand.

I took it with a slight squeeze. I tried to hide my confused face with a smile.

What the hell was a boatswain?

He helped me out of the little hiding place, already standing I stretched my limbs feeling a little pain when doing it. Again my back was aching along with my neck.

"I was just saying, before Dinah interrupted, that you can go out. Everything is in order now" he spoke pointing with his head out.

I nodded at his words unsure of wanting to leave, but in the end I made up my mind to do so and followed him. We walked together and when I got outside I was quite surprised. The deck he had been cleaning for hours was covered in blood. Men's bodies were strewn all over the place, some dead and others wounded. Seeing all that scene made my stomach churn, I raised my hand to cover my mouth. I wasn't sure if I would ever throw up.

I tightly closed my eyes, not wanting to believe everything I had seen so far.

"Hey, are you okay?" Someone had approached me and placing their hand on my shoulder gave a light squeeze.

I gave a little jump of fright and immediately opened my eyes only to find some chocolate eyes looking at me with concern.

"Yeah ... I'm fine," I nodded trying to sound convincing.

Camila narrowed her eyes, obviously not believing me.

"Sure? Because a moment ago you were very pale."
