After Camila accepted the job and a couple of drinks later, Shawn appeared along with the other man I had seen walking with them. Minutes later Dinah had entered the tavern with her shirt sleeves rolled up and somewhat stained with blood, as well as her face that also had a couple of drops. Especially on her right cheek, but the smile she wore implied that she was fine.
"Are you okay?".
I had asked her when she met us.
"Sure, why shouldn't I be?"
She replied without stopping smiling, that had been one of the few times I had seen her do it. Usually that only happened when she was with Normani and when she thought they were both alone. I noticed it a few times where they were unaware of my presence.
"You have blood ..."
I commented pointing at her clothes and face which had only made her smile grow.
"And who said it was mine?"
Her answer had caused me to wince and swallow hard, not really wanting to know what had happened out there.
After my short conversation with Dinah, they all began to gather at the same table as before, allowing me to be there only if I kept quiet and without further ado they began to discuss various topics.
The first had been about the new crew members. Obviously they needed more men and that's why Shawn had left, to find a few who were willing to do anything.
The second had to do with the ship and the man who arrived with Shawn was involved with that. Apparently the boat had suffered some problems after the great storm that we had experienced so it needed some repairs.
And the last topic they discussed was about the job Ally had mentioned. Everyone was excited by the idea and quickly made the necessary plans to complete the task successfully.
It didn't take long for us to start a new round of drinks. I didn't even bother to think about the consequences of getting drunk, I just got carried away by the good atmosphere that had formed.
And now I was back on a boat watching everyone carry boxes to carry while stroking my temples due to the severe headache. I was trying to remember what had happened last night after they all finished clarifying what they would do with the new job but all I remembered was that it had taken a lot. Today in the morning I had woken up in the bed of a small room and had made me totally naked. That of course alarmed me, the last thing I wanted was to get pregnant. I'd stayed in bed for a few more minutes, ignoring the intense headache and concentrating on remembering how the hell I'd gotten there. At that moment the door had suddenly been opened, letting me see Camila.
"Get dressed quickly, we are leaving soon."
That was all she had said to me, then retreating with a frown.
It turned out that the room was part of Ally's tavern and when I stepped out of it the shorter girl gave me a small smile.
"What a night, huh girl?"
But what the fuck?
So if I had slept with someone, Allyson's face had confirmed it.
Some screams caught my attention so leaving aside the massage she was giving to my head I started to see what had caused all that noise. Not far at the dock, Camila and the man in charge of repairing her boat were located. The brunette denied everything the poor man said, annoyingly, who already looked quite distressed by the conversation. He tried to calm the woman in front of him but she kept pointing angrily at the boat I was on now while running a hand through her hair. And I had an idea why she was like this.
