*smut warning*

I surfaced taking some air, ran my hands over my face and brushed away several strands of hair that had been left there. When I opened my eyes, the first thing I saw was Camila who was looking at me with a smile not far away. I returned the gesture, swimming I approached her and regardless of whether we were both naked, I took her by the waist, sticking her to my body.

"Hi," I said in a low voice very close to her mouth.

"I thought you weren't coming, you were taking a long time," she answered with amusement.

"Well I'm here, right?" I tightened my grip on her waist.

She caught her lip between her teeth making me wish I was the one to do it. With that in mind I kept my face very close to hers, our breaths collided and neither of us said anything. For an instant her eyes dropped to my lips and I smiled because of that, I wanted her to kiss me. As if she had been reading my mind, she closed the distance between us and brought our lips together. At first it was a slow kiss, one of her hands traveled to the back of my neck and the other left it on my shoulder where she dug her nails when I deepened the kiss. We separated in search of air and we stared at each other for a few seconds and then we kissed each other again. I went down to her neck where I gently bit her skin listening to how a small moan escaped from her mouth. Her hands ran down my back, scratching as she did so. She brought her mouth close to my ear, biting the earlobe, which made me separate from her with a gasp. I brought our foreheads together as I closed my eyes, feeling her ragged breath against mine. I enjoyed having her this way, just the two of us in our own world.

"Camila ..." I called her in a low voice without wanting to break the atmosphere of peace that now surrounded us "Please tell me that we are going to have a rest after all this. No more endless days at sea, no more rescues or pirates of anything" I said later, noticing how she had her eyes closed.

"Mhm," she made a sound in her throat but didn't respond.

"Camz ..." I tried again.

She sighed, then slowly opening her eyes looked at me intently. She seemed unsure what she was going to say, she turned her head looking at another point from somewhere. I feared that her words weren't what I expected even though I couldn't really assure that she would accept my request. For a moment I felt stupid for asking her that.

Who the hell asked a pirate to stop doing pirate stuff?

I wanted to tell her to ignore everything I had just said but something stronger inside told me that I was doing the right thing. That taking her away from that dangerous life she was leading was going to help her at least a little.

I just wanted to save her even though I still didn't know exactly what.

"Can't we just enjoy the moment?" She answered almost in a whisper.

I sighed.

I had screwed it up, I got carried away by my emotions and ended up messing things up. But I was just tired of all that shit.

Was it wrong that I wanted to have some time for us without having to spend whole days in the middle of the ocean or fighting against guys who want to kill us?

"Look" she seemed to notice my change of mood as she took my face in her hands and made me look at her "I ... I want to meet you ... I mean I want to know everything about you because I really like you" he said sincerely.

I smiled at her confession, this was the first time Camila had said something like that to me.

"I like you too, a lot," I answered without being able to stop smiling, her words had caused my heart to jump with happiness.
