Upon entering the first thing I noticed was that the place was almost full, there were only a couple of tables left over. These were round and of somewhat worn wood with a few chairs around them in the same condition. Many of them busy with rough-looking men and women on their laps. I had a slight idea of what all of them could do. The place was lit by an old chandelier and small candles scattered around. Looking beyond that the place was not that bad compared to the outside, it just needed some cleaning and that was it.

"Come on, I want you to meet Ally," Normani said next to me and then tugged at my hand and headed for the counter.

There were some wooden stools where the brunette practically forced me to sit down. Behind the counter were large barrels, all lined up and stacked. Then on some shelves were the wine bottles accompanied by the glass jugs.

"Wait a second, she'll show up," I heard my friend say.

Without answering and still admiring the room, I began to turn around little by little, now obtaining a complete view of the entire place from where I was. And unintentionally I found myself looking for the brunette. I spotted her at one of the free tables in the corner, she was just sitting down. She was accompanied by Dinah, Gerd and two other boys from the crew.

A tap on my arm caught my attention so I turned to see what it was. And it had been Normani, indicating that the friend who wanted to introduce me was with us.

"Hello, how are you pretty?" The blonde woman turned to the brunette with a radiant smile.

"I'm very happy to see you again, Ally," the girl replied.

So how could they hug each other across the counter. Once they separated and returned to their initial position they both looked at me. The blonde who was short in stature did it in a curious way and that for some strange reason made me feel nervous.

"I'm Allyson, but you can call me Ally." She extended her hand and without much thought I took it.

"Lauren" I simply answered while shaking her hand.

"Lauren" she repeated "It's a nice name" she complimented with a smile.

"Thank you," I replied returning the gesture.

Beside me I heard Normani whisper something, I turned my head to pay attention to her but she was frowning and concentrating elsewhere in the tavern. Curiosity invaded me and I couldn't help looking where the brunette had her eyes. I could see Dinah in the same corner as before holding a guy by the collar of his shirt as she spoke to him with obvious annoyance. Camila who was next to her, ignored the interaction of those two. The brunette played absently with the almost empty glass in front of her. The other members of the table watched the scene with amusement, even those who were nearby, all except Gerd. He didn't show any kind of reaction.

It didn't take long for Normani to calm the tallest one. With just a touch of the brunette on the shoulders of the other girl, she made her release the man, who was not scared at all but rather looked funny. He kept smiling mockingly at the blonde. He leaned in a little and said something that because of the distance I couldn't hear. With that, Dinah's jaw tightened and something flashed in her eyes, anger. And what I had learned in that month I spent on the boat was that you should never mess with that woman when she was in that state.

The sound of a glass falling made everyone present turn to look. The little liquid that had been inside the container just a few minutes ago was left on the ground. It was not difficult to know who had been the cause of that. All attention was focused on Camila. Seconds later she got up giving a strong blow to the table with both hands and without any care pulling the chair back, which also ended up falling. She looked down at what made her hair cover her face. At this point the entire place had gone completely silent in anticipation of what would happen next. The brunette straightened up and it was there that I could see the gloomy expression she had, just by looking I felt a chill run down my spine. For a moment I felt sorry for that man, I didn't know who he was messing with.

The next thing that happened was really unexpected or at least it was for me. Camila instead of hitting the boy, as I thought she would, only approached with an impressive calm when compared to her face that reflected the opposite and exchanged a few words with the subject. From the gestures he made it did not seem that the brunette was saying something nice to him. Every time she opened her mouth, the man nodded in fear. When they finished "talking", which I was sure that Camila's were more like threats, they both turned to keep their distance. The guy left the tavern a little pale and in a bit of a hurry, it wasn't until a few minutes later that the brunette nodded at Dinah. Understanding the signal, the blonde let go of Normani and also walked towards the exit being followed by one of the boys who were at her table.

After Camila sat back in her place, the whole tavern returned to normal. The men chatted and laughed with the women who accompanied them that night. You could tell that they were already used to all this.

A sigh near me reminded me that I had company so I turned and looked at Allyson who looked tired.

"Do you want trouble? Call Camila Cabello and her crew." She shook her head in denial as she cleaned the counter. "Anyway, can I get you something to drink?" She asked, placing the cloth she used on one of her shoulders.

I shrugged in response. I was in an unfamiliar place and maybe drinking was not a good option, but what else was a couple of drinks?

The girl took a glass and put it on the counter, took out a bottle from it and proceeded to pour the liquid into the glass. She only filled it halfway and pushed it in front of me. I was about to take a sip when a few laughs caught my attention, one in particular. I spun around in my seat bumping into an image that I personally didn't like. It was Camila laughing at something a girl said to her and they were very close in my opinion. But no one in here seemed to care that this woman was flirting with the brunette so blatantly. Only me.

"I guess there are always bitches wherever you go," I whispered to myself.

And with a snort I turned and took the glass in my hand, taking a big swallow. The liquid burned my throat as fast as I drank it.

"Shit."

A giggle made her look up.

"What's wrong?" Allyson asked amused.

"This is a bit strong," I answered in a low voice.

I was not used to drinking a lot, occasionally the occasional beer but this was very strong for me.

And she laughed again.

"Welcome to Port Royal, darling," she said, giving me a smile and a wink.

"Yes, welcome to Port Royal pretty eyes," they said close to my ear, causing me to shudder.

Camila was next to me, very close and smiling as she looked at me.

"Do you have something for me today, Ally?" The brunette spoke to the smallest.

She nodded, leaning her body on the counter. She looked to the side as if she was about to tell a secret.

"There is a group of French corsairs that gives problems to the British. Apparently they are going to pay very well to whoever eliminates them."

"Where?" Asked an obviously interested brunette.

"The Cayman Islands," Allyson answered as soon as the brunette had blurted out the question.

"Mhm ..." Camila seemed to think about it for a moment and then show a small lopsided smile. "Okay, I'll take it. Give me a drink and pour another to Lauren who's waiting for us on a trip early tomorrow."

The blonde girl rushed to do what the brunette had asked her and in a few minutes I had my glass full again. Camila extended her arm and with her glass in her hand she smiled at me, I quickly understood what she wanted.

"Cheers!" We both said, clinking our glasses.
