The next few days were a blur before Harry and I ended up on a plane again. "I miss your family," I said, leaning my head on his shoulder as the plane took off. He smiled, "You fit in perfectly." I nodded, "Gemma and I are like...best friends. I wish she could've made it to the wedding." He agreed as we sat in silence for the rest of the flight.
I watched as the plane flew through the puffy clouds, leaving artificial clouds behind us. The plane landed back in California, back to where my family was. "Harry, don't leave me," I said, pouting and letting a tear fall down my cheek as we walked through the airport.
"I never will...," he said, pulling me close and placing a gentle kiss on the top of my head. I smiled against his chest and listened to his heartbeat as he pulled out of the hug. "Harry, you have to go back to where the guys are...rehearsals are starting tomorrow," I said, wiping my tears.
"I know, but shouldn't you be coming too?," he asked as his eyes welled up with tears. I shrugged, "Niall told me that I didn't start until Friday, but you start on Tuesday, which is tomorrow." He sighed and pulled me close again, not even responding to my statement.
The first night of the tour was in about a week and the guys had to practice at the actual venue in California. To our luck, the majority of the tour for the first month or so is in California, so we can just stay at my house for that time.
"Come on, we have to go meet your parents at your house," Harry said, pulling our suitcases through the airport. Harry and I were in disguises, just so that no crazy fans could realize who we were. We arrived at my house about an hour later, greeting my parents.
"NIKKI!," my mother screamed, nearly breaking every piece of furniture in the house as she ran to me. I smiled and hugged her tight, I hadn't seen her in months. "W-who's this?," she asked, pointing to Harry. I gasped and Harry stood still.
"I'm her...husband," he said, draping his arm around my shoulder. My mother let out a slight gasp, "Liam?" My face turned a bright shade of red, "H-Harry..." "WHAT!?," she screeched, letting go of my hug. I shook my head and went by Harry, "It's okay, she wasn't told about you."
"Nik?," my father asked from the kitchen. "Dad!," I screamed, letting go of Harry and running into my father's arms. I introduced him to Harry before going upstairs and unpacking my things. "Nik? Come here," my mom said from the bottom of the steps.
I ran downstairs, nearly tripping towards the bottom as Harry and I made our way into the living room. "We have some...news," my father said, breaking me from my thoughts. I sat down, Harry pulling me close to him on the leather couch.
"Your mother has...," my father began. "I have breast cancer," she said, finishing my father's sentence. At that very moment, I felt my heart shatter into nearly 1000 pieces. I let the tears fall freely as Harry buried my face in his chest.
"Honey, it's okay...she's getting treatment," my father said, trying to cheer me up. There was no cheering me up. My mother now has cancer and I haven't seen her in months. Who knows how long she's had cancer? How long will I have her here?
"B-but mom," I said, tears pouring down my rosy cheeks. "I'm okay. Believe me. We caught it extremely soon so the chances of me surviving are pretty high," she said, smiling bright at me. I smiled back, "I'm going to go to bed...I'll see you two later. I love you both."

The next 3 days were horrendous without Harry. He left on Monday night, leaving me alone with my parents in the house. It was finally Friday and I was on my way to the rehearsal sight, where the rest of the guys were.
"Harry!," I screamed, running into his arms and kissing him passionately. "Hey, no love for me?," an Irish accent asked from a few inches away. "Niall!," I screamed, running to him and hugging him tight. "I'm so sorry about your mother," he whispered in my ear.
I nodded and whispered a quick 'thank you' before rehearsals began. (The next part is lyrics of a song that I'm writing on the fly, so don't blame me if it's bad!)
I began singing my song that I wrote just for Harry that I will be singing at the concert.
When I look into your eyes,
I find myself dreaming,
About my paradise,
When you look into my eyes.
I tell you that I love you,
I think that you're just right,
When you stare into my eyes.
He smiled as I finished the song and came up onto the stage, kissing me lightly. "Alright, that should be all for rehearsals today," Paul instructed after three hours of rehearsals.
"I'm hungry, why don't we go catch a bite to eat?," I asked, walking into the tour bus that Paul bought. The boys nodded as Paul drove us to Nando's, a place that we haven't been to in ages.
Once we arrived at Nando's, Harry ordered some food for us as we sat in a booth, trying not to get mobbed by fans. "So Nikki, how's the sex?," Louis asked, making me turn extremely red. "That's...personal," I said, putting my head down. "That means it's bad," Louis muttered as Harry smirked.
I shook my head as the food made it's way to our table. I immediately dug in because I hadn't eaten in days since I found out that my mother had cancer. "You look skinnier than you were before the honeymoon," Zayn added as he ate his fries.
"I know, I have barely been eating these past few days," I said, eating my second burger. "Well, you're eating now, so that's good," Liam added with a smile. I smiled back and finished my burger, groaning from being so full.
"Where are you guys staying?," I asked as I took a sip of soda. "Some hotel," Louis said, finishing some chicken nuggets. "You should stay at my apartment," I said, smiling at them. "I thought you were staying at your parents," Harry said, raising his eyebrows.
"I had an apartment with Jenny and Lissa, so I decided to move back in just so that my parents had their own space," I sighed. Harry nodded and kissed my temple, "We won't bother you." "You're my husband, you should definitely stay with me," I said, watching as Liam cringed from across the table.
"Alright, well we're going to get settled. I love you all and I'll see you tomorrow," I said, smiling and saying my goodbyes as Harry and I exited the restaurant.
"Where are Jenny and Lissa staying?," Harry asked. "There is no apartment. There's something for us," I stated, smiling at him as we hopped into the car. I drove somewhere special as Harry covered his eyes, walking with me.
"And...open," I said, uncovering his eyes. He gaped at the sight of the house in front of him. "You bought us a house?," he asked, smiling at me. I nodded and watched as he ran into the house. It was a three level house with a basement, four bedrooms, three bathrooms and an outdoor garage.
"I love it. And you," he said, kissing me lightly on the lips.
