Love Hate (A One Direction Fan Fiction)

Baby Payne

I woke up the next morning with a grin on my face. Today was the day I was going to see my baby for the first time. "Good morning, babe," Liam said, wrapping his warm arms around my waist. I smiled, "Are you coming to the ultrasound today?" He nodded and hopped out of bed, going to get ready.

Since yesterday, I had received so much support from the fans. The 'Nikam' supporters seemed to really love the fact that Liam and I were starting a family. Liam and I had both tweeted about the baby, along with the rest of the band, so you can only imagine how many fans already knew.

I had received gifts in the mail, so many that I probably wouldn't even need a baby shower. "Are you all ready?," I asked, entering Lissa's room and knocking on her door. She exited the room with Jenny and followed Liam and I down the stairs and into the living room.

"Off to the ultrasound!," I exclaimed, closing the front door and hopping into the passenger side of Liam's car. I took a deep breath and we were off. In about 10 minutes, we were sitting in the waiting room of the office where I was going to get my first ultrasound.

"Nikki Payne?," a nurse called from the hallway. I nodded my head and followed her into the office where I would probably be getting my ultrasound done. Liam was right next to me the whole time. I wasn't exactly sure who the godparents of this child would be, probably all of the crew.

The nurse instructed me to lay on the table and remain calm, the ultrasound technician would be in the room soon enough. Liam, Jenny, Lissa and I all waited for about 5 more minutes before the technician finally came into the room and performed the ultrasound.

I looked onto the screen and tears automatically came pouring down my face. It was almost as if I had just been eternally connected to something, someone. I had instant love for this child. "This is unreal," I said, wiping the tears from my cheeks. I had fallen in love with this child already.

On that screen, I saw my first born child, the one thing that could keep my life happy forever, no matter what he/she did. I leaned over and kissed Liam's lips softly as the technician began printing out copies of the ultrasound for us to take home. 

"Can you plese print 8?," I asked as she printed the final ultrasound. She handed me the final ultrasound photo and told me that I was free to go. I stood up from the table and began walking out of the room. "Here you go guys," I said, handing Jenny, Lissa and Liam ultrasound pictures.

When we returned home, I gave everyone an ultrasound picture. I also posted one on twitter, just for the 'Nikam' fans who were completely and utterly interested in this child. "I have a question for everyone," I asked, instructing everyone to take a seat on the couch.

Once everyone was settled, I couldn't wait to ask them a question. "Will you all be the godparents of this child?," I asked, waiting for their response. Within minutes, they all began bursting into excitement and joy, which I took as a yes.

I smiled wide and hugged them all tight, which turned into a group hug. "Oh I love you all," I said from the center of the hug. "We love you too, Nikki," Zayn said, kissing my cheek playfully. I smiled and hugged everyone else individually before we all decided to celebrate to a nice dinner.

As we entered the restaurant, we sat down almost immediately. "Do you guys think it's going to be a boy or a girl?," Liam asked everyone while the entrees came to the table. "Boy." "Boy." "Boy." "Boy." "Girl." "Girl." "I think it's going to be a girl," I said, following everybody elses guesses.

After dinner, we all decided to head back to the house because I was getting extremely tired after the long day that I've had. "Guys, thank you all so much," I said, holding Liam's hand and walking into the house. "You're welcome," Harry said, walking upstairs with Lissa.

Liam and I walked into our room and plopped onto the bed, each drifting into a soft, peaceful sleep.
