Thanks for the Memories

Liam shook me in my sleep. "Wake up honey," he said. My eyelids fluttered as Liam's warm grip lifted me out of the bed. "What's going on?," I asked. Liam didn't say a word, he just carried my half-asleep body downstairs and onto the couch.

"Now that you're awake, do you remember this day? Exactly one year ago?," Liam asked, his big, brown eyes lighting up my world. "Not...exactly...," I said unsurely. "We met exactly one year ago, at Lissa's party," Liam said with a bright smile.

"Awww, you remember the exact day we met?," I asked, my eyes gleaming. "Of course," Liam said, placing a gentle kiss onto my forehead. I grinned from ear to ear, not knowing what to say. "You have made this year the best year of my life," I said, a tear running down my cheek.

*Later*

I walked downstairs slowly, my pregnant belly making my back ache. "One year ago, who would've thought that we'd all be where we are now?," I asked, plopping onto the couch. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Zayn and Jenny share a kiss and the same with Harry and Lissa.

"I cannot wait for many more years to come," I said, smiling. "Aren't you all supposed to be ready?," I asked, looking at everyone, still in their pajamas. "Why?," Niall asked. "Because we're finding out the sex of the baby today!," Liam exclaimed.

Everyone sprung up out of their seats and darted into their rooms before I could even tell them to hurry up. WIthin 10 minutes, we were all on our way to the ultrasound appointment. Walking into the office, I approached the front desk and told them that I was reasy when they were.

"Nikki Payne?," the doctor called from the corner of the room. I braced myself and walked into the room, everyone following behind me. I laid down on the ultrasound table and waited for the doctor to spread the blue jelly across my stomach.

"Well, the baby seems healthy," the doctor said, looking at the screen which showed the ultrasound of mine and Liam's baby. "Would you like to know the sex?," the doctor asked. I nodded impatiently, waiting for the results.

"Well, it seems like we don't have one baby here," the doctor said. I sat there, shocked and worried. "You are having twins!," he exclaimed, smiling. I nearly jumped out of my skin with excitement. I leaned into Liam and kissed him softly.

"Boys or girls?," Harry asked, a tear making it's way down his left cheek. "Both!," the doctor said with another smile. Oh boy, I was going to have 2 babies in about 4 months. "Now we have to buy double," I said with a slight chuckle.

As soon as the doctor wiped my stomach to take off the jelly, everyone gathered around into a group hug. "You all need to help," I said, laughing slightly. "Of course!," Lissa said, hugging everyone tighter.

I couldn't believe how blessed I was to be part of this family. Yes, we are all a family no matter what. We always will be.
