The first thirty minutes of the ball was amazing. We talked with old friends and Hazel showed off her ring with excitement I had never seen before. I loved seeing her this way.

"I'm thirsty."

I nodded and we made our way over to the drinks. I stared around as we reached there and stayed quiet.

"Samuel?" I heard Hazel speak.

I looked up but didn't hear them speaking. I was staring at him. Greasy hair, slicked back, dark eyes hollowed in, lanky... Samuel Erickson. He was the old photographer for the school but moved right after Hazel.

He was staring at her with weird eyes, shocked eyes. Every time he talked he twitched a little and I narrowed my eyes. He looked at me and then back to her and something flickered in his eyes. Fear? Shock? Something... crazy.

He excused himself and rushed off, shaking madly. I widened my eyes and pulled out my phone quickly, dialing in a number.

"He was... strange." Hazel shrugged.

I gulped, "Samuel moved after you did. He came back after you did. I thought I had seen him at the roller rink. Someone who looked like him at least. He looks at you like your his obsession."

"Who are you calling?" She grabbed my hand as I turned to go.

"Agent Boothe."

"You have his number?" She didn't like that.

I gave her a look, "Hazel, I know you don't like him because he arrested you, but I have to tell him. Stay by the door and keeps April by you."

She looked shocked, "Why?"

"Because your not suppose to be alone or out of the house."

Her face was shocked as if I wasn't suppose to know that. I walked outside and watched until Hazel stood by the door with April. I pushed the call button and he rang slowly.

"Hello?" Garret sounded stressed.

"I found him. Did you get anything more from the video?"

He fumbled with something in the background, "We managed to hack into her computer and what we saw was... gruesome... if its him, we'll know."

"Oh, I promise you, its him."

"Where are you guys right now?"

I looked around stalling, "The town hall."

There was scuffling, "We just got a hit on him, he's there. Get Hazel out of there. Hide her in the nearest place."

He hung up and I looked at the doorway, Samuel was standing a couple people away from the door and he was staring at me. I went inside calmly and walked to Percy.

"I need you to make a distraction. I have to get Hazel out of here." I whispered into his ear and he nodded.

Within seconds Percy was walking forward and then he made a dramatic fall, falling right on Samuel. I heard some cussing and then apologies with humored voices. I grabbed Hazel and ran her to the nearest building, which was an abandoned indoor swimming pool. It hadn't been used in nearly ten years and I prayed it was open. Hazel ran along side me with just as much fear as I had.

I got to the door and tried to turn the handle and it opened with ease, swinging open with an eery creak. We entered the front room and it was lined with dusty glass cases, filled with abandoned trophys. We went to the double doors that led to the pool and they also creaked open. It was a scary feeling.

"What now?"  We entered the dirty, swimming area.

I looked around and took in the question and our surroundings. The pool was halfway full with mucky, black looking water. It had obviously been there awhile because vines had sprouted from the cracked floors and were hanging over the edge of the swimming pool into the nasty water. The place smelled like mold and I wrinkled my nose, grabbing Hazel's hand tightly.

She looked up  and I saw her eyes. They were bright purple. They turned that way when she was frightened or in pain. I pulled her into me and hugged her tightly, feeling her tiny body shake.

"Now, we wait." I finally answered.
