I stretched and sat up on my elbows with a small pounding headache. Last night was fun, with what I could remember. I looked around me and froze. Nick was laying beside me in a bed. We were naked and he was wide awake staring at me.
"We didn't?" I sat fully up and wrapped the sheet around my top half.
His eyes widened a little and he cleared his throat, "I honestly couldn't tell you."
I laughed a little and fell back, staring at the ceiling, "Oh my God. Last night was amazing."
"The party or?..." I could hear amusement in his voice.
I sat back up and thought for a moment. I could vaguely remember last night and Nick and I and I smiled.
"Both of course." I swung my legs over the side of the bed and pulled my clothes back on.
I heard a scream and stiffened, hearing Nick jump out of bed with shock. I tightened the laces on my shoes quickly and we both ran to the back yard where Joey Bradshaw's girlfriend, Jennifer, was sitting on her butt next to a bush and screaming out as if she had just been shot. The only thing that worried me was the fact that Jennifer had blood all over her hands. I ran to her and dropped to my knees in confusion but I allowed my eyes to follow hers and quickly followed suit and screamed out.
Joey lay there with his blue eyes wide open and what seemed to be many stab wounds all over his torso and a long deep cut across his neck. Flys were hovering over his body which probably meant he had been lying there all night. Which meant he must of been killed after he ran into the bushes after the person who threw the stone at him. Nick pulled out his phone quicker than lightning and dialed 911 and within minutes there were cops, medical examiners, and agents all around us. Jennifer and I sat there with our arms wrapped around each other until two agents pulled us apart and seperated us. At that, Jenny began to scream and I tried to reach her but they just kept pulling her back.
"She didn't do it!" I tried to scream at the agent holding me back but they just shook their head and sat me down.
The agent looked at me, "She has the blood on her hands we can only assume that she may have been the killer."
This agent had black hair that hung in his eyes and what seemed to be dark purple eyes. Just like mine... He was muscular under his suit and I quickly gulped.
"Who are you?" I inhaled shakily as tears ran down my cheeks.
He smirked, "I'm agent Boothe with the FBI."
"FBI? Why is the FBI in North Brook?" Confusion was swarming me from several angles.
"Theres another case here that was called to our attention. It seems now their is now another one. Can you come down to the station and talk with us?"
"Why?" Fear welled up in me.
He sighed, "Well frankly, if your friend is cleared your another suspect."
I felt Nick's warm hands on my shoulders and heard him speak up, "How is she a suspect in this?"
Agent Boothe's eyes flicked down to my shirt and stomach, "She has blood on her shirt and stomach."
"Jenny was holding onto her."
"You can come too then." Boothe's eyes were deadly and we shut our mouthes and followed him to his car and slid in.
He slid into the driver seat and my phone started to ring but I was in too much shock to initially answer it. Nick pulled it from my pocket and answered it in a very tired voice.
