I got out of April's car and I felt my heart pounding. Nick was standing there looking all tall and handsome. His green eyes looked at me and I saw the relief behind them. He didn't think I was going to show up.
We walked up to him and he smiled, "I didn't think you were going to show up."
I stared at him for a few seconds processing that and rasied an eyebrow. I wonder why he thinks I wouldn't show up. Two people walked up behind him and I recognized one of them at once. The heart shaped face, dark eyes, and bright red hair immediately made me scowl slightly. Angelina Higgins. The second person though was someone I knew without having to look directly at their faces.
"Oh my God, its her." Percy Lauper's voice rang out clear and loud and my eyes shot to him.
I shot into his arms like a bullet from a gun and squealed loudly, tears coming to my eyes. The smell of his Clive Christian Co.1 was music to my nostrils and I felt the tears coming down my cheeks now. The last time I had seen Percy he was in the hospital due to the crash of his very expensive Zenvo ST1, the eighth most expensive car in the world. His parents were some of the most richest people I had ever known and Percy was the bestest friend I had ever had besides April and Nick.
"What are you doing here?" I smiled, wiping my cheeks.
He grinned, "I was in town."
"At a beat up old roller rink?"
He winked, "Oh come on. You know I haven't always been some rich, uptight bastard."
"Your right, your right."
Angelina walked up and put her hand on her hip, cocking it to the side, "Hello, Hazey."
"Hazel." Nick corrected, a dangerous look in his eyes.
Angelina rolled her eyes, "So, your, like, back and everything, huh?"
I smirked and mocked, "Yeah, like, for, like, the summer."
Percy sniggered under his breath and Angelina slapped his elbow, scowling angrily. We went inside and Nick paid for April and I while Percy paid for Angelina. I heard Angelina whispering to Percy fiercly and Percy correcting her every so often and putting a hand up to stop her from giving whatever insult she was trying to. We grabbed our skates and tied them onto our feet and I watched as April slipped and fell straight onto her ass. I laughed and Nick and I skated off hand in hand.
