"Nicholas James Davidson." Agent Jones looked at me with a sort of evil to her.
"Thats me." I leaned back in my chair.
Boothe was standing by the door and occasionally glancing at the glass window on the wall. This Agent Jones was going through a file in front of her that was under the file about Joey. It was a file on me.
"Whats that?"
"Leave the questions to me, Nicholas."
"Its Nick."
She looked up quickly, "So, Nick, it sounds like Joey and you didn't start off well at that party."
"You could assume that I guess. I was only being protective about Hazel."
"Yes, of course you were. According to this file you were suspended from North Brook's football team several times because of fights between you and Joey."
I knew where this was going, "Okay, listen, I know this all sounds bad but I wouldn't have a reason to kill Joey. He was my friend."
She sat on the edge of the table, "Doesn't sound like it to me."
"Of course it doesn't. Joey and I had some rough times, Agent Jones, but he was my friend. We grew up together. We played together on the play ground. Why would I kill him?"
"Jealousy. Many of teenagers have killed out of jealousy before."
"Hazel is mine. I have nothing to be jealous about."
Agent Jones raised her eyebrows, "Hazel and you aren't currently together though."
"How do you know that?"
"Nicholas, I'm with the FBI, we know a lot. Plus it says here you went through three weeks of anger management because Hazel Faith Johnson and you encountered a break up."
"Ma'am, I didn't murder Joey Bradshaw. I was inside the whole night and you can ask anybody."
She smiled slowly, "Oh I will, Nicholas. I will. You may be dismissed."
