Chapter Twenty-Six
Restaurant
Astraea was sitting sipping over her hot chocolate looking around the city from the roof while László cuts his waffles into pieces and put them in his mouth. The securities surrounded them while Hector and Zale stood silently. László looks up at Astraea sipping her hot chocolate and watching the city. She was all engrossed in tasting chocolate when his eyes fell on boys and men around gazing at her.
He keeps his knife and spoons down making Astraea gaze at him. László slowly takes off his coat making her confused. "What happened?" She asked watching him getting up and stepping near her.
Hector's eyes widen watching László leaving his half-eaten meal in mid. He has never done that!
Astraea watches him in confusion when his warm coat is placed around her and she beams warmly at him. "I felt you were cold." He says gently placing a side kiss over her temple taking his gun off his waist and holding it out making security quickly grabs their guns.
The people around turn frightened and he smiles moving back and placing guns in Zale's hands without her acknowledgment.
"You are awkwardly sweet!" Astraea speaks noticing his gestures. "You are my fiancee. Can't be I?" He asked fishing the last bite of the meal.
"No, It's Just never thought you would be this sweet. You are a whole lot different from what your actual nature is." Astraea speaks while looking into his eyes. "You bring out this László Michael Rodriguez! I guess you should how to handle it." He smirks and she blushed crimson turning her gaze away and rubbing her neck.
She does it when she is nervous!
"Ria!" László calls her softly leading his hand forward. Astraea gaze at him and then at his hands. She slowly places her tiny hands in his large one getting up.
"You have anything in mind?" He asked placing his hands over her lower back when Hector walks quickly with another pair of coats. László stops and Zale helped him wear it. Hector's phone rings and talks while and brings his cell phone to László. He talks for a while and hangs up looking back at her.
"How about an amusement park?" She asked excitedly like a five-year-old girl and László watched her.
"You know I can't do that! Between I have to go back quick," He states firmly and she paled at his sudden harsh behavior. "Fine, Just let's go back to the apartment I have exams and homecoming forthcoming." She shrugged ignoring her hurt heart and sad limbs. 'He planned the entire day with me.'
"I have work." He whispered against her ears suddenly making every nerve of her skin. He was standing behind her rubbing her arms.
"I... I understand." She managed to speak and they started walking out of Resturant. As they got seats in the car László observed her distant and quiet personality.
