Chapter Fifty-Four
Rome, Italy
Astraea snuggled her knees to her chest shivering in cold and fear. Lila covered her with the blanket rubbing her arms down. Elizabeth walked inside keeping coffee, watching her all terrified. Brian stepped taking the seat beside Astraea pulling her in a warm hug.
Ares and Laszlo just watched her from the bedroom and sighs walking away. Hector closed the door. Laszlo stood in the hall along with everyone.
"I guess we have to call off the wedding," Arawn says getting up and watching Ares. Laszlo stayed quiet and takes a seat in his armchair. "You have anything to say while I take my daughter away," Ares demanded while there was no response from him. Ares sighs and shifts his shoes, walking away.
You should tell them you were protecting her," Atticus watched his cousin's brother. "Doesn't matter! She is frightened of my sight," He speaks and turns back to silence.
Ares watched Brian and Lila then sleeping Astraea. "I am gonna take her away," Ares says simply watching them as Brian's eyes stayed on Astraea. Lila nods while tears rolled down her cheeks and she kissed her daughter's knuckles.
"And you guys are coming along. I can't do it with you." Ares tells as Brian looks at him with utter shock. "You are her parents and she will be always your daughter. I just wanna keep her safe." Ares says as Brian walks and pulls him in the hug for the first time without fear. "I never plan on telling her!" Ares says hugging him back.
Knock! Knock!
Ares turns to watch Smith standing along with Xavier and Noah. "It's time to leave!" Smith informs and Ares nods his head. Laslo walks inside as everyone turned silent. he walks picks Astraea up in his arms safely and walks out of the Mansion. He places her inside the car and moves her hair away from her face. He leans and kisses her forehead and moves out. Ares watched him as he moved away giving him space.
"If you ever show up in her life. I will have your body!" Ares threatened and gets inside the car along with everyone.
As the dawn came up, Astraea moves to open her eyes finding herself in her London home bedroom. She moves the duvet away and walks out in confusion finding her house packed up in security as her mother sipped coffee with Ares and her father. "Mom!" She called as Lila moves and keeps her coffee on the table. She gets up steps near her and holds her by the shoulder bringing her into the living room. The housemaids brought coffee for her as she takes a seat on the couch.
"We were in Italy," Astraea says watching Lila and Brian. "The wedding is Off!" Ares stated to the point making Astraea's eyes widen.
"We can't see you hurt and break your entire life. It's better this way?" Brians says watching as she sat there speechless. "And just cause you to make better empress doesn't mean we will hand you over the golden platter to him." Ares communicates while watching Astraea.
