Chapter Twenty Two 

Laszlo was looking after Astraea when Arawn scurried inside without knocking, staggering him. "Dad!" Laszlo voices as Arawn managed to speak. "Lila!" Arawn observed Astraea sleeping with a soaked cloth over her forehead and then back at his son. "She collapsed, and she isn't respiring anymore. "We have to rouse Astraea. It's bereavement."

Laszlo sat frozen as he watched his father. Arawn nods his head positively as Laszlo shifts watching Astraea. Arawn left the room. Laszlo tried to awake Astraea as she stir in her sleep and watched him with weak eyes. "You have to wake up, Love," Laszlo asked sweetly as his heart with the thought of him being the one to tell the awful news of her life. Astraea nods her head weakly trying to get up when he assisted her. 

"What is it?" she inquired, watching him with a burning fever and weak body. "We have to say goodbye!" He speaks, holding both hands as Astraea tried to understand the statement as it hits her. Her Mother!!

"You are lying!" She stated in shock as she forget all about her fever and weak body. "We have to get downstairs!" Laszlo scaredly held her afraid of her reaction. Astraea immediately freed her hands and ran outside not ready to believe what he just said. 'Fuck' he leaves the room behind her. 

Astraea rushes down the stairs with her weak body at the sight of her father holding her mother unconscious body in his arms crying badly while everyone stood around. She stood in shock as everyone's eyes fell over her.  

"This can't be real!" Astraea whispers to herself in shock stepping backward when her back hits Laszlo's chest as holds her. She turns to face him holding on to his shirt. Laszlo's eyes fell on Lila in Brian. "This is true. Right!" Astraea demanded Laszlo holding on to his shirt while he glanced at her and held her face in his palm. 

"Ria, Shhh..." He tried to calm her racing down, but seems like nothing have no effect on her. "This is all lie!" She asked when he held her closer. 

"Ria, everything will be fine." He asked, holding her face like he assemble a 5-year girl to understand things. "No!" She speaks in shock. Astraea held on Laszlo as her limbs got weak and the sense of a freezing environment engulfed her. She felt her brain freezing when nauseous and blackness hit her together sipping her world. Lazlo was trying to hold Astraea down when she suddenly fell into his arms, but he was quick to hold her and pick her taking her upstairs.  

The next morning, Astraea stood in Knit in an effortlessly cut with the finest merino wool and cashmere, this cardigan is styled with a classic V-neck and gathered bishop sleeves black outfit watching her mother in the Coffin as she lay there in deep peace. Brian walked rubbing Astraea's back as she held her emotions. She didn't want to cry. All she wanted was to be strong for her family. She wasn't the little girl anymore. Now she empresses. 'I have to be strong!' She wondered as Laszlo walked in his black royal tux wrapping his arms around her body and checking for fever. She was still having a fever but was comparatively low the previous day. 

"We have to do it," Laszlo asked as she nods, holding her misery and heartache watching him. He pulled her closer, giving her the strength she wanted. He made no comments. Ares placed the funeral flower around watching Lila for the final time and holding Brian. "Everything will be okay."  He speaks as Brain nods his head positively.

The funeral function started as Brain gave his speech and Laszlo held Astraea's stronger entire event. Lila was carried to the cemetery and buried eventually as Astraea broke into a sob. Laszlo held her embrace and hide her face in his chest rubbing her back. 'I knew it would be onerous for her.' He wondered, holding her weak body in his strong one. Lila was buried deep down under the 6 feet ground. One after another everyone left the cemetery while Astraea just stood there watching the grave of her mother. Laszlo stepping rubbing her cold arm. "She didn't even let me have a proper goodbye," Astraea whispered but Laszlo heard. "Maybe it was written in this way," He says watching her grave than her. 

"I can't be the daughter she wanted me." Astraea cried watching Laszlo as he held her face and kissed her forehead. "You the daughter she always had and wanted. She turned you into a beautiful woman. And never in life wondered you can turn out this pure woman. You are a perfect daughter. Never regret this." He asked as she nods, holding her quivering lips and he kissed her forehead again.  

"Let's get home and be with your father. He needs you!" Laszlo asked as Astraea nods her head while he moved her blonde hair behind. They walked towards the car together when Astraea broke into sobbing in his arms with her mother's memories and thought she won't be able to see her again.
