Chapter Thirty-One
Three Months Later
The chilly winds were rustling the leaves around announcing the cold weather arrives. The winter arrived. Astraea clutches her thick overcoat near her body holding her books and side bag in the embrace and walking through the university foyer. Students occupied the canteen with warm and hot drinks pressed between their palms to keep warm.
"Ahh!" Astraea hears someone Calling. She shifts watching Shannon running towards her with two coffee mugs and stops beside her handing her one.
"Why it's so chilly today!" Shannon explained in agitation making Astraea chuckle and sip her coffee. "It's winter and it's my favorite season so no bad-mouthing. Astraea answer and Shannon rolls her eyes stepping inside the lecture hall along with her.
"Did you work on your research?" Astraea asked taking her last seat along with Shannon who just shakes her head positively keeping the bags on the table.
"It was the most annoying research I ever made," Shannon exclaimed while other girls of the gang take seats chuckling.
"Yeah cause your boyfriend was always on you!" Alexander smirks and Shannon glared. "I wish you were never my boyfriend!" Shannon hissed making Kyle laugh loudly along with Astraea and Everyone else. The professor walked inside and Everyone shush down observing him. Astraea takes her notebook out keeping it on the desk when her cell phone vibrates. She fetches it out finding László text.
"You Coming?" She reads his text and sighed keeping it back in her pocket. 'In Entire three months after our engagement this is his first text. Are you coming? I hate him.' she wonders when her minds drift to the last they spent together.
Alexander smirks shifting to Shannon when his eyes fell on Astraea lost in her bundle of thought. He nudges Shannon and gestures toward Astraea. Astraea was lost when she felt a nudge. She shifts watching Shannon looking at the board and Professor training them. Astraea sighed and hears him with complete concentration.
After Lecture, Shannon and Alexander walked beside Astraea while the others for their other lecture. "You seem lost!" Alexander asked pulling his coat closer as they stepped into the cold surroundings.
"Just thinking about how my fiance is ending lives around and here I am sitting accepting all the facts where once I used to rebel," Astraea speaks.
"Oh, I missed that girl. Between where is she?" Shannon chuckles questioning and Astraea smacks her shoulder speaking.
"I am planning to call off the alliance but problem is that my parents are so happy and László isn't some man that I can walk away and he accepts it. He kills if someone plays with his reputation." Astraea gives big sigh.
"You are messed up!" Alexander says walking Inside the parking along with Shannon.
"Actually László Michael Rodriguez messed it up by visiting me and tricking me into engaged with charismatic aura," Astraea explained standing by her and Shannon chuckles.
