Chapter Thirty-Five
"Where are we?" Astraea asked as the car stopped outside the forest, glancing around for any kind of threat. "This is the safest place that Rodriguez has!" Laszlo speaks as he starts the car again, entering the forest. Astraea nods her head as the car moved and they came across the gigantic mansion.
"Ares has it guarded and protected since he stepped into Italy!" Laszlo speaks stopping the car and getting out and opening the door for Astraea. "But I kinda font feel protected here!" She says nervously and Laszlo smiled.
"Cause this place is in the middle of nowhere along with the place that was abandoned several years ago," He says, taking the bags out and holding her hands, and walking inside. Before they could step inside the mansion Laszlo heard the rustling of leaves. He immediately shifts glancing around and the wind blew. Astraea opened the mansion stepping inside.
She was expecting the mansion to be dirty, but it was crystal clear all around. The glass panel was all around, but it was only one side see-through. Everything was nicely arranged into white and gray shades, the interior of black granite.
"This doesn't look old!" Astraea asked while Laszlo kept their bag inside glancing around. 'Something is wrong!' He wondered as he watched Astraea take a seat and rub her belly.
"Ares got it renovated!" He says and smiles, taking a seat in front of her. She smiled when she giggled, which made Laszlo glance at her with concern. "I feel a light tickle!" She smiled widely watching Laszlo while his eyes shone with happiness and he keeps his hands around her belly brushing it gently.
"They are active!" He leans to kiss her belly bump when a crashing sound comes grabbing Laszlo's attention at first. "I guess it's the wind!" Astraea says and Laszlo just nods and watches her speaking. "You might wanna fresh up!" He asked and Astraea nodded her head getting up from the seat safely as Laszlo gets up along with her and guided her inside the safe room. He glanced all around the bedroom until Astraea got settled and walked into the shower. He walked out locking the door behind him and takes his coat off rolling down his sleeve watching every corner and path.
Astraea relaxed under the warm shower closing her eyes and rubbing her sore muscles and scalp. Laszlo stepped around in the kitchen opening the refrigerator and taking the fresh vegetables and fruits out grabbing the knife out and chopping slowly.
His work look simple yet his senses were on alert. He was done chopping vegetables and fruits and putting them in separate bowls keeping them aside and fetching the pan from the customized cupboard room.
He keeps the required things over the kitchen counter keeping the knife back in place and fetching the water in the glass. He brought it to sip when Astraea walked into the kitchen smiling in a white sundress and he watched her in amazement.
"How did you walk out?" He asked remembering he locked the door. Astraea looked at him in confusion speaking.
"The door was open!" She steps closer making his warning and intuition right. Someone else was there. Laszlo didn't want to alarm Astraea. He pulled her closer by the waist placing his lips between her and kissing her passionately.
