Trepidation

Chapter Thirty-Eight 

László House

Zale walked holding a milk glass, passing it to Kyle while she just glared at him. There was a thick tension in the air as people stood around silently. Alexander held frightened Shannon in his arms over the couch, wrapped in the blanket while she shivers uncontrollably. Hector stood passing a water glass to Alexander while he gave his best glare to the hector, holding the glass of water and playing near Shannon's lips. 

"Everything is fine!" Alexander rubbed Shannon's stiff arm when they heard another crashing shout of the glass against the wall.

László stood watching frighten Astraea away from him, holding a glass of an expensive vase. "Don't you fucking dare to step near me?"

"Ria, that was just an act. I promised you I will never hurt you." László best tried to get near her, but she kept moving away from him. The moment they stepped into the bedroom Astraea fought again him like there was no end. 

"Yet you used me as bait in your game and your promises are fucking lies!" Astraea cried in anger and threw another vase towards László and he successfully dodged it.

 "Astraea Shh! Calm down. I won't do anything to hurt you. That baby is important to the royal family and I can't even tell you why." 

"Then that means when I fucking get pregnant my baby will be nothing but royal property. No László you are having nothing with me. No wedding, No future, No Fortune, and No to the Rodrigue first Heiress." Laszlo stood surprised watching the tearful face of Astrea as she watched him and nods her head. "Yes, I know!"

Astarea finally speaks and drops the Vase on the ground. László quickly steps near Astraea and held her tightly in his embrace not caring about anything else. "I know the prediction of Vance's blood-producing the heiress."

"I don't care what the future holds for us. And you know nothing about the prediction still." László held her tightly walking and taking a seat on the bed. "I fucking hate you!" Astraea speaks as Laszlo holds her closer. "I will never hurt you!"

The dawn disappears under the dusk skyline. Laszlo held half-sleeping Astraea in his arms as they sat over the bed covered in sheets. Astrea moves closer to his warmth as he stroked her head pulling her closer in her arm. 

"Are you hungry?" He asked but she nodded no still holding his white shirt as the past incident played through her mind. "I won't do it again Astraea. I know it scared you but Kyle needed to be agreed." László explained again while shifting to face her as she nods negatively ready to get up but holding her pulling closer. 

"This is why the world fears you!" Astraea speaks as she realized the fact he can be more than fighting people. László just kept his silence while rubbing her back smoothly. "You don't have to fear me!"

"You are everything that I am afraid of László!" Astraea speaks as watched him and then sighed getting up. "Yet here I am in your arms frighten to lose my family and my future." She speaks watching the dusk out of the glasses window as she sat over the bed. Laszlo sits behind her rubbing her arms and places kisses over her shoulder. 

"You will have everything you dreamt of! You have my words." He speaks as Astraea shifts to face him and he nods his head positively. 

"I won't live in Altarvia after the wedding. I want to be with my parents!" Astraea asked and László leans on his face placing a forehead kiss. 

"We will see about it. I travel most of the time and you will be traveling with me!" He stated and Astrea nods her head. "You won't even force me for things I don't want to!" she asked again and he nodded. 

"I won't!" He glances up at her when there was a knock on the door. László moves away from her and walks towards the door unlocking it. He finds Shannon and Kyle standing together watching him nervously. László silently steps away glancing at Astraea glancing out of the window. He just walks away and Shannon and Kyle walk inside closing the door behind them.

"After this act of yours, I am telling Shannon Who I am!" Alexander says as he stands facing László.  "You will be breaking royal code results ending up in the dungeons." 

"I don't fucking care about it anymore. My girl was under threat just because of you and I couldn't do anything." Alexandre threaten as everyone stood watching him.

"Go ahead and Tell Shannon Who the fuck you are. She will be very pleased to know you are Rodriguez's blood or I should say Arcane Edwards Rodrigues's one mistake that he never intended to do. " 

"My father did it to protect your mother. It was a mistake but my coming life won't be a mistake. I am ain't Rodriguez! I want no part of Rodriguez in my life." Alexander speaks coldly grabbing his jacket from the couch and walking towards the bedroom.

"Why don't you ask your stepbrother Atticus why he came to the family," László speaks making Alexander stops in his tracks and glances back at László. 

"Because he fell in love with Rodriguez's enemy! I know what my brother went through!" Alexander speaks coldly and László speaks with a line over his lips. 

"Before telling Shannon everything ask whose daughter is Shannon. Your father has killed a lot of people make sure you remember it." László says and walks away from them.
