Hello, there is a slight trigger warning for sexual assault but it’s very vague and if you’re not comfortable with reading it then that’s completely fine.

"Squad A is secure," Obito whispered into the radio that his entire team was connected to. He crouched behind the wooden cart stuffed with hay and wool, peering through the little holes on the side of the cart to make out the mass of enemy ninja that littered the grounds. Besides him, Minato's ice blue eyes scanned over set up camp, Flying Kunai in hand at the ready for any notice of trouble.
"Squad B is secure," Kakashi said from where he was on the other side of the field blending into a shrub. The thickets and leaves made for sound cover, but with so many Shinobi around, they could never be too careful. Rin was a step behind them, ready to fall back and treat the wounded if needed. They had spread out in two man teams, and Shisui who had returned from his assignment a week prior, had been placed on the mission for backup.
The Hokage had assigned Team Minato with an infiltration and target op, where they were supposed to sneak into Kumo's missing-nin rebel camp and take out the swelter of war masters and assassins that had gathered under the banner of invading Konoha. Technically, no one on the team had really been surprised by the group of rebels, especially after their mission in Tea Country had gone. They were only a day's travel from home, and Konoha could not afford an attack so close to the border. With Team Minato being the offensive attack team currently on the roster, it had left the job up to them.
"Squad C is secure," Naruto parried back in the mic, and if Obito lifted his eyes just to the right, he could see his cousin and his teammate situated in the tree line, their twin gazes scanning over the enemies with intent focus. They were both standing tall, the shadows encompassing them like they belonged to the night, and Shisui’s eyes glowed eerily. Obito shivered lightly.
Both Naruto and Shisui were highly cheerful people with wild senses of humor and the ability to make friends faster than you could snap your finger. However, Obito would hate to be on the receiving end of their calculating stares, because they were both literal demons when fighting.
Obito had of course seen Naruto during training practice, where she so clearly held back that he didn't know how Minato, Kakashi, and Rin didn't notice. Since his release from the hospital (and his release again only but a day later), the Team had went on light missions where there had been the occasional enemy to defeat.
But now, where there were so many enemies, Naruto's powerful way of fighting would no doubt come to light for them all to see for the first time.
Obito hadn't seen his cousin fight much, but he knew that Shisui was good without a doubt if the rumors were anything to go by. Even now, he could see the red of his eyes analyzing the Kumo nin, and vaguely wondered how much of an assassination team Naruto and Shisui could make if they were paired together regularly.
Naruto had a pair of katas strapped to her back, the sheath that Shisui had gifted her holding the wicked blades, and Shisui's katana blade glittered under the dim light where he held it in front of himself. The wind picked up, and Obito's eyes drifted back to Naruto, watching as her long blonde pigtails flew to the side and hit Shisui in the face. The curly haired boy's tongue dragged out to get the hair out of his mouth, and Naruto gave him a weird look.
He snickered lowly, before hearing Rin's voice crackle in his ear. "Squad B is going to engage now." Over the cart, Obito made out Kakashi's bobbing silver hair.
Then they were out.
Kakashi flew out from the thickets at such a speed that it would put the Yellow Flash to shame. With the Chidori - as Kakashi had named his own one-hit jutsu - sparkling on his hand, the sound of chirping birds filled the clearing, and there was a shout of surprise as the Kumo nin registered their assailant. Swords were drawn, but Kakashi was quick on the uptake as he slammed his hand through the chest of the nearest Shinobi who was moving his hands through some signs. They went down, blood spurting from the hole in their chest, and Obito grimaced. Rin stood at the edge of the field, her own hands running through signs as she sent a wave of water into the camp, dousing the fire rapidly.
