Infinity War/Endgame Rewrite
"This is the Asgardian refugee vessel Statesman!" The Asgardian in distress screamed out. "We are under assault, I repeat, we are under assault – The engines are dead, life support failing!" He continued to scream, trying to get any help at all. "Requesting aid from any vessel within range...We are 22 jump points out of Asgard. Our crew is made up of Asgardian families, we have very few soldiers here!" He screamed in a nearly final attempt. "This is not a war craft, I repeat, this is not a war craft!"

Ebony Maw stalked the dead bodies of the Asgaurdians, paying no mind to them as if they were any regular trash thrown onto the floor.

"Hear me, and rejoice. You have had the privilege of being saved by the Great Titan. You may think this is suffering." He paused, lightly kicking a stray limb of a body. "No...It is salvation. Universal scales tip toward balance because of your sacrifice. Smile...For even in death, you have become Children of Thanos."

Loki stood quietly with the attackers. Just watching. He felt a small pang in his heart for his brother and the people of Asgard. Loki glances towards Thanos, as the large purple alien glanced at what was once the home of Asgard.

"I know what it's like to lose." Thanos started. "To feel so desperately that you're right... yet to fail, nonetheless." Thanos then grabbed Thor by his head, tilting it up to make Thor look at him. "It's frightening. Turns the legs to jelly. I ask you, to what end? Dread it. Run from it. Destiny arrives all the same. And now, it's here. Or should I say...I AM."

Thanos held up his hand and admired the infinity gauntlet, the gleaming of the power stone accenting the gauntlet quite well.

"You talk too much." Thor said as he spit out blood from his mouth for the umpteenth time. Admittedly this was not an ideal situation.

Thanos glared at the Asgaurdian before turning to his adoptive brother. "The Tesseract, or your brother's head." Thanos paused in though momentarily, before continuing with a smirk. "I assume you have a preference."

Loki smiled back cheekily, before subtly winking at Thor. "Oh, I do. Kill away!"

Thanos placed his hand on Thor's temple, the metal trapping him warping from the sheer power of the infinity stone.

"Oh wait Thanos?" Loki asked, Thanos temporarily pausing his attack. "I do remember seeing the Tesseract in the treasure room on Asgard. It's must be in the ruins." Loki spoke out thoughtfully, Thanos now looking out at the debris of Asgard. Loki then slowly showed the Tesseract to Thor for a split second, Thor widening his eyes momentarily before going back to a scowl.

Loki then snapped his fingers, Hulk busting out of a compartment and throwing Thanos out of the window, Loki now being able to grab Thor, Hulk, and Heimdall. Before leaving, Loki shouted "I may not be Asgaurdian but I do have a Hulk!" Loki then took them to Earth, ending up who knows where.

Meanwhile, back at the Sanctum Sanctorum.

"Do you seriously not own any money? How the hell do you eat?" Dr. Strange asked Wong after a long night of reading.

"Attachment to the material is detachment from the spiritual." Wing said wisely. "Plus I have a garden."

"You owe me." Stephen stated, turning to leave the Sanctum. "I'll tell the guys at the deli. Maybe they'll make you a metaphysical Ham on Rye."

Wong the shuffled through his pocket, pulling out a handful of change. "Oh, wait, wait, wait, I think I have 200." Wing said counting the coins in his palm.

"Dollars?"

"Rupees."

"Which is?" Stephen said dragging the sentence out.
