New York City traffic could be heard from Katherine's apartment as she lounged about, a book in hand, her eyes running over the pages. She had gone to her second costume fitting earlier that day and she had also stopped by to rehearse some dance numbers and now, exhaustion had crept up on her.
Suddenly, the phone ringing brought her out of her daze, making her jump up in surprise and close the page of her book. Standing up and walking to where her phone was Katherine picked it up to see that Bianca was calling her.
"What is it?" she asked after picking up, placing the phone against her ear, and leaning it on her shoulder.
"What are you doing right now?" Bianca asked.
"I'm at home" Katherine answered slowly "why?"
"Callum and I are at this bar near the rehearsal studio, and we were wondering if you wanted to join us" she answered, in the background of the call, Katherine could faintly hear Callum's voice.
"Thanks for the offer but I think I'll just stay here"
"Oh come on! Don't be boring!" Bianca complained "It's just the two of us here, besides, since the rehearsal studio is close by, maybe someone else will show up" she added suggestively.
Katherine huffed loudly before walking over to her dresser and looking for something to wear, knowing her friends, there was absolutely no way she was getting out of this.
"What should I wear?" Katherine asked, a small smile coming onto her face.
"Whatever you want-" Bianca was just about to answer when she was interrupted.
"Katherine," she heard Callum's voice "wear something cute- like I don't know a skirt or something"
"Um alright" Katherine replied "text me the address and I'll be there in about an hour"
Hanging up the call, Katherine started looking through her drawers. She soon found what she was looking for, pulling out a simple short black skirt and a shirt to match. Expecting that it would turn colder at night, she also got a black jacket to match and some boots, hoping they would keep her warm.
